Castle coombe japfest 09??


i am coming from north wales so will meet up with anyone if they want, last time i went there was a esso and services just off m6 or m4 where i followed civicnorthwest through some nice back roads if someone could post a postcode up we could all meet maybe an cruise down with everyone looking ant the best cars going :)

New bridges to be lifted into place on M4 near Swindon

HIGHWAYS AGENCY News Release (225/SWW/09) issued by COI News Distribution Service on 30 April 2009

Two new bridges are to be lifted into place over the M4 near Swindon.

The first bridge will be lifted into place at South Leaze on 16-17 May between Junction 15 and 16. The motorway will be closed from 19:00 hours and reopen by 10:00 hours on Sunday 17 May with traffic diverted.

On 30 May another new bridge will be lifted into place at Spittleborough, just to the west of Junction 16 between 19.00 hours on Saturday 30 May and 09.30am and 10.00 am on Sunday 31 May. During this time the motorway will be closed in both directions between Junctions 16 and 17 and traffic diverted.

Highways Agency project manager Dave Frampton said:

"The new bridges replace previous structures built in the early 1970s which were reaching the end of the working lives.

"The previous bridge at South Leaze Bridge was demolished in September last year and Spittleborough Bridge demolished in January.

"The closures will take place overnight at weekends when traffic flows are lowest".

During the overnight closure of South Leaze Bridge between Junction 15 and 16 (16/17 May), traffic will be diverted as follows:



Westbound traffic will leave the M4 at Junction 15, take the A419 to the Commonhead Roundabout, the A4259, A4312, B4289, B4006 and A3102 to rejoin at Junction 16.

Eastbound traffic will leave at Junction 16 and follow the same diversion in the opposite direction.

During the overnight closure of Spittlebrough Bridge between Junction 16 and 17 (30/31 May) the following diversions will be in place:

Light vehicles will use the A3102, B4042 and A429 between J16 and J17 (via Malmesbury).
Heavy vehicles will use the A4 and A3102, A4 and A350 between J16 and J17 (via Calne and Chippenham).

Eastbound traffic will leave at Junction 17 and follow the same diversion in the opposite direction.
 
im thinking this post code BS36 1DP you come off the m4 on to m32 then a ring road then meet here its a pub car park called the willy wicket just off the ring road then will be able to go some nice back roads to castle combe meet there 7.30am?

think we should exchange numbers? so that we dont leave without any1 and we know who's meeting an who's not.

also there is a shell garage oppisite :)

Well I'm coming from Cardiff so be good to meet up with some of you guys! I'll know definate timings next week but I am aiming to leave Cardiff around 6/6.30am ish.....I dont mind giving out my mobile number if we are all in agreement - I think its a good idea! Let us know :)

that sounds good to me i jus hope i can join you lot on the stands :) so is it going to me 7 30 at the pub carpark.
 
I not sure if im going 2 meet with you lot yet at the pub car park, because it going 2 take me 3hours+ 2 get down there, so i will have 2 leave about 4 - 4.30 to get down there by 7.30:shocked: will probably stay in bed for another hour and just head straight down!

I will let you lot know what im doing sometime next week!

OK all the passes and tickets turned up today :clap:. I will try to get them out tomorrow.
If you are on the list and have not purchased entry tickets please confirm you are still up for coming and let me know your address asap.
I will be leaving McDonald's (Sainsburys) just off of J12 M4 at 7am sharp.

Well i am aiming to get there before 8 so i can arrange all the cars. I am going to try to get on of each colour up front. I have sold my black one so i will be in a yellow one instead:nice:.

If the remaining guys haven't contacted withe address i may well have some spare passes to get some Irish ek9's on if you come over.
