student protests in london

well i've been seeing this on the news/web the last few days and its starting to get on my tits! What a bunch of ignorant wankers, them seem to have forgotten what people scarficed in the past to grant them the freedoms they have today. I can see why they're angry that fee's are going up, BUT i can see why its being done. As it will stop alot of teens going to uni simply for a piss up for a few years before they have to go into the real world and get a job! All i can say is that its a good job i'm not over there as i probably would've taken a bat to some of them







I would really be surprised if any of them even know the significance of the people/things that they are defilling. Anyone else think they've just lost all sympathy with the public and should get a good kick up the hole?

Uni is for having a great time, getting absolutely ****-faced and doing random crap, they shouldn't kid themselves its for learning and getting a job. It's a three year booze-up, so I'm happy it's self-funded.

If 99% of students weren't stonkingly retarded these days they'd realize the new laws are fair and actually benefit those who are less successful once they finish their degree.

Everyone else has to tighten their belts, so why not the work-shirking students?

i think it will put an end to alot of stupid mickey mouse degrees as well, which would be good.

ignorant little fu*ks! always whining! they get more concessions and discounts at retail stores and banks than people who serve the country in one of the forces like myself! this really gets on my t*ts! they need to man the fu*ck up and get on with life like everyone else!!!!

I totally agree with this. My cousin went to uni for 4 years. Could not get a job with her degree. The went back to uni for another year to do a different course. To get a job with her mum and dad. In my opinion that was a waist of 5 years

im 19 (so getting pissed is a lot of fun at this age) but im not a complete dick and pay out of my own pocket. i think its completely wrong going to uni to be a complete **** and spend other peoples money on booze, then miss lectures and complain about it on facebook! i deleted most people off my facebook for this reason, really really pisses me off. okay it kinda stop my chances of going in a few years when ive grown up but it should also stop a lot of people going for a piss up.

Matt the Government loans you the money interest-free for the tuition fees (£25-30k) and you only pay them back once you're earning over £21,000 pounds and even then it's only something like £15 per week repayment I think.

The new system means the lowest earning 25% of students after they graduate are actually better off than before. They only ask for the money if you have it to give so don't let the debt stop you

i know that mate, i dont see the point in going if people cant get jobs after.

Also my dads very successful but hes never been to uni so thats putting me off to lol

i think uni is a waste of time in my head as a friend of mine spent 3 years there and works in a toy shop what a waste of time , i have no gcse's and i think i earn 2x more then most who do go and i have the work hard to get that, and then they are smashing up police van and every think else off which the tax pays have to pay for to fix it all when they get what they want in the end

just watching the news about this subject. it makes me livid becauce people complain that the police dont do enough about trouble makers and when they actually do stand up and do there job people complain saying there to violent. FFS this country is ****ing doomed!

I could not agree with you more. People can be violent and destroy public and privet property. But the minuet the police get involved and try and take control. They start saying the police are hurting them and they try and sue the system. If they did not want to get hurt. They should have been studying back home.

Haha, all that **** they destroyed and set on fire is costing tens of thousands to clean up! So they should pay more for tuition fees now ha! "Protesting" didn't work, it just made everyone realise how retarded the majority of students are. Apparently they're going to "protest" again because of another rise in fees of some sort, and the government will ignore them...again. Pointless destruction by a bunch of simpletons.

(I'm a student too, but I'm not an asbo soldier like most of these dicks)

yeah same my mate went to uni for 4-5 years and he's just got an average jo job. I've never been to uni in my life and didnt get amazing results in school and **** and am earning £10.50 an hour have a brand new flat/car so indeed uni can be a complete waste of time and just an excuse for a loan and a piss up !

there is only one WAY TO PROTEST TO ACTUALLY GET RESULTS.
ITS the legal and lawful way to protest and it is called lawful rebelion it was a right given to us by the people who wrote the magna carter, i guess you could say our fore farthers..., it does however state that violence and vandalism is clearly a CRIME and thereofre you are doing exactly what they are doing as you are commiting a crime to stop what you think is a crime which is wrong in everyones books.

can't they see that by our government lending them 10s of thousands of pounds which they pay back at 10 pounds a month once in work and earning over £15000 ( something like that ) which is F***** up i have 3 mates at least who i know owe the government £20,000 and have no intention of giving any of it back so far by the means of getting a job below what i stated and further more going abroad to get jobs so they don't have to pay it back.

WTF how can you state that you think its wrong when you clearly are doing something worse by commiting fraud yourself by having no intention of paying it back.
think of the money involved if al students right payed back every single penny they borrowed. thats a monumenal amount of money.
the people i know would have to pay back nearly 100K its a mad amount of money to be giving out to people who have no intention of paying it back, or contributing to our economy once they have this so called PIECE OF PAPER STATING YOU ARE SMARTER AS YOU SAT DOWN AND DID WHAT YOU WERE TOLD FOR 3 YEARS which in my book is the meaning of being a BLINKERED SHEEP to the state. good luck PAH.
