    Put my money on an air leak, make sure all the tubes are connected and are connected in the right places at the back of the intake manifold, also it could be worth cleaning your iacv sensor! Had the same problem and it was a little tube not connected!

    I'd say your problem is theres air still in the system! Best way to solve it start the car, open the release valve at the bottom of the rad, if there is a weak stream then theres air trapped somewhere! Just leave the bottom valve open and open the rad cap until the stream gets heavy then lock...

    Yes, hopefully next summer i get around to building an engine. At the moment I dont have the time. The engine in the car is perfect and very quick for a B16a but i'll be building a big spec B18c engine as i have the parts lying around from breaking my ek9!

    I'd put a bet its a vacuum leak, had the same problem myself and it was the small tube on the back of the intake manifold.

    B18 swap

    Ive done a few B18 swap's and there exactly the same unless your fitting it into an eg etc, you should have no problems dropping it in an ek, the b16b/b18c engine are the same size, bolt patterns etc. Infact all b series have the same bolt pattern for the clutch!

    Bought the car 1st day i had it oil pump failed engine seized! Got another block oil pump failed changed the pump but bearings were damaged. Converted it to B18c-R Head cracked somehow, got a new head and oil pump failed in the block after a week. So i broke the car ha!
