Hi all

Just got my insurance sorted for the year.
They bettered Adrian Flux and totalled at £320 with £200 excess, protected no claims etc, etc.

Happy with that but I am 38 with 8 years no claims:secret:

Every one should try them!

P

Good price but then again with your age and no claims it should be! Mines is due next month so might give them a ring

I was quite happy with mine actually I paid £455 Fully Comp with SKY but only have 2 yrs no claims and mods declared! Happy Days! :)

Thats funny,

I tried Sky and apart from the strange cockney wide boy, who put me off after calling me "mate" in every other sentence, the prices they offered me didnt get any where near adrian flux?

Will have to try Sky when I get back in he 9 next year.

same here mate....seems there are a few people who dont get good prices. im 29 with 2 years no claims and sky were one of the highest.
admiral smashed everyone in the end by £3-400

Didn't phone too many companies at last renewal, but went with Sky as it cheapest I could find, and better than my renewal, and they were really helpful when I called them. All mods declared, though helps that I've got full NCB and am over 40.

Couldn't insure me on a K20a swap EK9, but wasn't really surprised since I'm a young'en.

Refreshing to say 'EK9' and 'K20a' and for the person on the other end of the phone to know what I'm talking about and not just think I have turrets :p

I suppose it does also help with me that I am also 40 yrs old, Admiral first off quoted me approx £45 more! :)

its weird how companies can differ so much
i have just moved house and the missus called her insurance up and got £117 back plus the ability to drive other cars etc.
i called mine up, took off 6000 miles a year. moved the car from being on the public road to on a private driveway and it went up £25.lol.

well i got £627 fully come with adrian flux and 3rd party for £420 thats me 24 3 yr ncb, ill defo gona try sky

Sky were rubbish for me, but may try them again next year.

im insured with sky atm, always been pretty good and helpfull for me :)

I'm with Sky. Switched from a DC5 to EK9 & had to pay an extra £102.50!!
Not exactly happy. Can't see how a EK9 can be more to insure than a DC5?!
Anyone else had this problem?..
I'm 31 with 8yrs NCB but 2 accidents in last 5 yrs living in low risk area.

it'll be because anything with 'civic' in the name tends to be relatively high insurance.

im with sky and im happy, was about 830quid fully comp, 23yrs of age, 5yrs NCB (have another 4 on another car ;)), which was the cheapest i could find out of many people i phoned.

Will sky insure me on EK9 at 20 years old? 3years NCB (1 from the EK9) if it makes any difference? will definatly give them a try come renewal time, i'm paying a small fortune atm!

I'm guessing that more ek9's are written off or involved in accidents than dc5's.

I am still looking into this for you but I will be in touch shortly.

Thanks Olly,
Sorted successfully- someone made a mistake somewhere thinking I had a JDM EP3 Type R instead of an EK9. Didn't have to pay any extra except for admin fee..
Mark.
