Can anyone tell me whether 17" wheels will fit on an EK9 without rubbing on the arches. The tyres are 17x215x45. Its got HKS adjustable coil overs but I dont know whether the wheels will look out of proportion.

I've got 15" Rays rims at the moment but fancy a change! :nice:

Cheers

17s look a bit big on an ek imo, i would only fit 16's at the biggest
also fitting 17's can't really do much for handling of the car either i would imagine :(

with 215/45 tyres though you will have major rubbing issues!!! my friends civic ek (not ek9 but ek hatch) has 17x7" wheels lowered 50mm with 195/40 tyres and the tyres are very tight to the arch :nice:

As I know 205/50/16 will be the MAX for Honda Civic Hatch/coupe/4Drs
if no - camber:angry2:
But I am going to put a DC2 rims with 215/50/16 on my civic with -0.5 camber ...hope this will work:D

17s are bad imo stick to 15's :p

15's or 16's only is my opinion - i just think 17's look out of proportion, and the're not JDM! :D

i currently hve the stock wheels on me ek4... looking to purchase a decent set of light weight 15's....

although i hve a couple of mates with 17's i think its prefferable to stick with 15....:nice: tires for 16's r more pricey than 17 in rubber!!!

I used 17 inch wheels on my EK9 for 6 month with 205 / 40/ 17 tyres, for daily drive it was aweful to pass speed bumps etc..

When I removed them, the left axle was in bad shape, I decided to change both axles, I don't recommend using 17" inch wheels.

Right now I run 16" inch wheels on the front and 15 in the rear, no problems at all.

:woot:

I run 205/45/16 with OEM suspention and its spot on as a daily driver and occational track day.

I have a set of light weight RAYS 16" for sale if interested

These Volk Rays wheels define the word "lightweight"!!!!! I had exactly the same as yours but "15" and no need to say what I've lost since I sold them.......:(
