1996 JDM DC2 SiR £2750 or swap with ek Vti, TDi Golf

It's not a B18C-R engine......I'm not familiar with what engine exactly is in it, but it's certainly not B18C-R spec.

I assumed it will more likely be similar to the B18C4 UK engine, hence the discussion. Could very well be the same engine, as JDM and UK engine codes differ. Perfect example B18C-R, the JDM version is B18C, UK version is B18C6, both exactly the same, only difference is intake manifold and exhaust manifold.

There Both stamped B18C. No Numbers :) Different Internals and head of course between the 2. Both came with S80 Gearbox with the LSD optional for the Sir-G.

Yes, but my point was that even though the B18C4 is stamped B18C4, it's the same block as the B18C.....but with different internals. I was assuming the B18C SiR internals are probably the same as the B18C4 internals.

ah i see. Your probably right, usdm gsr would be same too im guessing :nice:

A mate of mine used to have one of these, and in all honesty I have to say I was pretty shocked when he took me out for a blast. I thought they'd be mega slow compared to other dc2 's Ive been out in but they're pretty damn quick....and the handling on his was insane with only coilovers...(Tein Type Flex)

Good look with the sale man:nice:

If there is anyone local to me ie Oxfordshire/Berkshire and they want to have a wee go in it, i'm more than happy to do it!:drive:

Thats a b18c4 engine, if that car was in USA i would buy it right away!!
