Well I just say work done on an audi with carbon fibre wrap all over most of it, I was tempted to do my boot lid as it is alot cheaper than a real carbon boot, even though it defeats the object of why you go carbon in the first place. what do you guys think?

I wouldn't. It's like buying a B18B Non-VTEC and putting a Type-R valve cover on it. No matter what you do it still isn't. But if thats what your prefer then go for it. "Fake" stuff so to speak isn't me though...

Don't do it mate, sleeper status couldn't have summed it up any better!

i was going to carbon wrap my roof to match the rest of my carbon but ive heard it looks real cheap and tacky in the flesh so not bothering :((

i want to do my baseplate of my spoiler in this stuff, but im scared it will look like ****

^Base plate is pretty small so if you don;t like the way it comes out you can always peel it right off and polish the plate.

There's a lad locally with a new shape Colt with the bonnet and various bits of trim don in 3M At first glance it looks good but it fades like real carbon looks too neat if you know what I mean.

It's good for small thinsg but wrapping an entire roof or bonnet defeats the object really.

Having had a carbon bonnet and lip on my old car I'm now not so keen on the the stuff. CF is a bitch to keep looking nice so I would now much rather look at painted CF or FRP and keep the car looking standard whilst packing a lightweight punch!

i think it will look tratty mate :( your better to save up and if you still want it buy the real stuff u will see a huge difference

if your only doing it for looks then go ahead but get it wrapped in real carbon, not vinal as vinal looks cheap, fake and tacky , be more exspenvise thou

okey guys thanks for the input, it pretty obvious, just do the saving game and hopefully get a real one =/ I guess you really do by carbon for the reason it was made

I looked into getting a carbon boot a while back. They were being sold on ebay, asked for the wieght of them and it was only a slight difference than the standard boot. If yout not doing it for looks its not worth the money imo.

I have my roof done only to try and hide the sunroof bung and to stop water coming in. I'm not a fan of wrap even on my car
