was looking into geting a 4.9 final drive and an exedy clutch kit with lightweight flywheel my car is a ek 9 with spoon ecu its my every day car but want to do a few track days this year was thinking off going with the tuning factory for the parts what stage clutch kit do ye think would work best for road and track and what brand final drive would ye recomend thanks for help lads:nice:

i would go for a oem clutch with act pro light flywheel over the exedy,

m factory for final drive.

was told bout 600 euro for final drive (dont no brand they do)
was told bout 550 euro for full cluth kit + ligthweight flywheel (exedy)
from the tuning factory what you think off them prices lads:secret:

b16 mini has sound advice, oem clutch is plenty good enough, served me just fine last year.

mate get a oem itr clutch you can get them in tuning factory and there cheaper, if your putting in 4.9 final drive also get longer 5th from a 98 spec itr really good for motorways or just go with 4.785 best of both world:nice:

pm bz ctr for price on bits say he be cheaper.stage2 clutch id go with if i was you.

no it's not that i give my honest opinion to meet his requirements and a stage 2 clutch is not what he needs in my opinion a oem itr clutch is just the job:nice:

also the s80 box from 98spec itr would be a good option also

fair enough,

cant get my head around how people can drive thestiff clutches anyways:shocked:

i am not an expert but the best thing to do for ek9 gear ratios is not to shorten the final drive but to swap closer gears. In this way you could improve pull in every gear greatly.

Surely that comes at a much greater cost though?

UK costs...

MF 3/4/5 gears £600 approx delivered.
Fitting approx 4-8hrs labour (garage pending), approx £350.

Of course if you add items to the build it really doesnt affect the cost too much as your box is already out.
