If anyone could shed some light to weather it is reasonable upgrade to have for the money
 
I think they are pretty much the same
 
There the same i think... ud need to go for the 98spec one that has a 4.7fd and different gearing
 
The problem with the 98 spec is that it has a tall 4th and 5th so with the lack of torque to pull them round at high speed

You'll see a pretty big difference IMO.
The gearing on the LS Trans just sucks for anything N/A.
Plus you should have a LSD now.
Much better Traction and Get up and go.
I personally would put a 98 Spec FD in the 96 Spec Trans for the ultimate OEM N/A Trans Setup.

Nice quick short gearing.

Yea I was gonna get the 98 spec but it was 400 bucks more
And yea I hope It picks up nice 🚗💨💨💨
