Evening all,

I've just bought myself a DC2 around a month back but I've always loved the EK9, so I thought I'd join! This seems like a great place for resources and advice, so I'm looking forward to contributing as much as I can!

Just a quick snap of my current steed (Because everyone loves photos):

Thanks for the hospitality!

Beautiful!! Just beautiful. So clean too,
Any mods ?or any mods planed?
More pics would be super?

And welcome.

Thank you, it took me a long, long time to find the right example but I'm glad the wait paid off. It's not without it's niggly issues though. It's leaking through some cracked seam sealer along the roof guttering and it's showing signs of synchro wear. The main thing for me though, is that the bodywork and engine are near perfect. 99% rust free (only small areas such as under the front of the wing mirror) and it doesn't use a drop of oil!

Some more details:

  • 86k miles.
  • Imported from Japan in July of last year by Torque GT.
  • Mugen intake, front & rear strut bars, pedals, manifold, centre pipe and a Gen 1 rear silencer.
  • Aragosta adjustable coilover dampers. Although these are soon to be replaced with super low mileage OEM dampers and springs.
  • Rota Spec-R wheels, again to be replaced with originals if I can find them or a set of EK9 wheels would keep me happy for the time being.
  • Fidanza lightened flywheel, OEM clutch. The clutch will be replaced when I get round to getting the gearbox rebuilt.

Otherwise, it's just a nice, clean and well looked after example!

I do have a build thread on Pistonheads somewhere, I'll have to dig up the link.

Really is a stunning teg, every car has its little bugs to be ironed out ,
All the best ,and keep us posted.
Beautiful!

Welcome.....great looking DC2, congratulations on your purchase...

I have a few drips coming in when washing the car....i think its the roof guttering too, can you advise how to remove the trim and what to use as a sealer....or anyone else please?

Look forward to more updates! :nice:

I don't know why, but I recognise this teg from some where, it's lovely!

Nice to see another welshie haha. Teg looks super clean

Just a pointer, looked into where the ingress of water was coming in today and happened to be the top passenger side corner of the windscreen....the mechanic at TGT and I pulled out the glove box, end cover of the dash off, door trim around A frame and found it :nono: as said above seeping in from the seal at the front of screen it appears ....checked the guttering and all looked solid
Need to get a decent screen fitter that knows their sh1t!......:)
Hope info helps....
