i was always told that if there are no rear seats belts in place then your good but been hearing mixed storys of late

doesn't take long to rectify though

Thats wat i was thinking, if the belts or seats were in they could fail but since both arent in, they can hardly? I tink ill chance it anyway t see..

I know some one who works for the nct, and they told me I had to put the seats and seatbelts Back in, I would have thought If they wernt there you couldn't Fail, but apparently Thats not the case, sure it only takes a few mins to refit them anyway,

It will fail, if theres no rear seats and no belts, it is classed as a van then it has to be vcn'ed. but let me no if you get true

just swap them back in and out make a quick job of it ! :) to be on the safe side

Going by the fresh NCT my EK9 had, I thought pretty anything will pass one.

im pretty certain youl need them in to pass. probably depends on who you get and how much of a performance car hater they are.

I'm fully sure it will pass without any interior.. I've saw completely gutted cars pass the test. You could put it thru with one seat once there was only one seatbelt. If the seats aren't in you have to take seatbelts out.. And if they question it just say that's the way it was tested last time and it passed..

thats what i was thinking Karl, they nct rally cars when i bring them in with no questions asked so ill just tell them it a road rally car :D its sickening now to that cars over 10yrs old have to be tested every year now

wel lads, i put my car through the nct yesterday with only the x-brace fitted, no seats, seatbelts or plastics. the car passed as the tester said they cant test something thats not there so this is a heads up for those that have the braces fitted to keep them in
