air con removal coupe vti 00

just wondering is removing my air con from my civic coupe b16 literally just a case of unbolt and get rid? ive followed the hoses from the a/c rad down to the pump then to were they go under the battery im asuming i just unbolt from here? and remove the lot? and am i looking at any bhp gains??
 
no bhp gains as all your doing is removing a/c
but it does weigh a good 30kg (ek9)
like you said just remove it all and in your glovebox with be the heater matrix box thingy, which you will have to swap ( you dont have ) for a non ac one, ive been trying to find one for ages now as i dont have anything in there so loads of the air from heaters just blows on the passengers feet :lol:
 
cool, surely the heater would be ok if u left the blower as it is? and just disconnect the a/c as far as the battery?? or not?
 
yeah the a/c heat in the glove box will be fine as is it, all you need is a gromet for the engine bay so you dont have a hole.

the only reason i said is becuase non a/c box weighs less compared to the big heavy a/c box ;)
