Ok so after owning my ek9 for over 2 years I think I want to get rid of it. Well part of me does and part of me doesnt..

I am just so sick of being stopped by the gaurds. All the time even when doing noting wrong. I was coming down a town this evening in about 4th gear doing about 40km down a big wide main street. Kinda just rolling along and a gaurd car drove up past me and when I looked in the mirror they were turning around and pulled me over.. Saying my car was to noisey and to change my number plates. I drive the car only at weekends and at least every 2nd weekend I would be stopped and then they start picking things they can find at the car.

Also money is getting tight and running the ek9 and also a work van is not easy and always stuck for money. I always keep the ek9 in top condtion and when something has to be done it is fixed with the proper parts.

So what I am thinking now is to sell the aftermarket parts off the car and sell the car standard and also sell my 306 van and just buy one nice clean landcruiser as I always wanted one and be very handy for work and still keep it clean enough for weekend drives. So only the one to insurance and one to tax.

I know I will regret selling it as the car is perfect and runs perfect and finally have it looking the way I want it.. Change oil every 5000km and honestly doesnt burn a drop till about 4500km.

So what do I do. My head is wrecked thinking :angry:

keep it mate, only way of really known is dont bring it out for a wile and see if you miss it.my dc2 was off the road and is again atm and really miss driving it.the way i look at it is if you sell it are you going to get another one as good as the one you have?

I was the very same about 2 weeks ago,was selling my 9 back to its previous owner and it was breaking my heart, really didnt want to sell her when it came to the crunch.

Had 2 cars lined up even before I sold her,a mk5 gti golf or eg6-r's k20 dc2.I drove my mates gti the night before I sold my 9 and I liked it but hopped into my 9 an hour later and the gti wasnt half the car.Only sold the 9 in the end as new I would like aidans teg,so meet up with him the following night and bought her straight out, fell in love with it on the spot.cant believe i was even thinking of getting out of hondas,i have had a lot of cars and i can honestly say i get the most fun out of a honda:win:

dont sell your 9 you will regret it and you will have it very hard to find one as clean or as fresh as yours.if you sell you will be looking to buy one again in a few months.I know what you mean about the guards but thats just the norm in this country now, just try stay out of towns really.

also landcruisers only do aroung 30 mile to the gallon and you can only get commercial tax if you have a vat number,i think.

i wouldnt sell up either lad. you will definitely regret it but at the end of the day only you can decide what's best

After all the time and effort spent on that car i wouldnt! Its such a nice example you will defo regret selling it! If you can you should keep it!

dont sell up mate jus to satisfy those arxxxxxes

the main thing is as long as ur all legal and insured theres nothing to worry about no matter what the police will always pull young boys over in race like cars
