What are you driving? Who are you insured with and how much are you paying? I'm 19 and own an ek3. I was paying £800 fully comp last year and thats with my older brother as the main driver. Neither of us have any driving convictions etc. My insurance went down by about £50 this year which I was pretty happy with. My bro also has 3 years NCB which I will be using. Anyway, I'm looking into buying a civic jordan or an ek4. I'd really like to own a dc2 but I would never get insured :( I've tried bell, quin direct and directline but they won't even give me a quote on a jordan :/

Try and get away from your 'fronted' policy as you may have major problems if you have a claim.

I'm 19 and insured on an ek9

It's with admiral, Costs just under £1500. Had to pay up front though. 1 years ncb, no convictions or accidents. My policy with a few older named drivers. I know i got pretty lucky as it does seem to have got more difficult in the last few months to get insurance.

Make sure you put older drivers on the policy. Make youself the policy holder, it helps.

I'm sure you'll find something. I know a few 19 year old's who have had jordans so it shouldn't be a problem.

Best of luck

I've just turned 20 but i was 19 when i insured my ek4, costing me £1000 a year with, 0 points, 1 accident in 2008, 1 year no claims. And thats with Admiral too.

When i was 20 - 3 years NCB, no accidents or convictions i insured my jordan for £800, so it is possible. jus gone down to £575 a year later.

Thanks for the help guys! Cheapest quote up to yet is just over £1500 with admiral. Thats with me as the main driver and two older named drivers. Not too comfortable with the £1000 voluntary excess though.

I know the excess is a killer, but i'd try and avoid making a claim if a had a small crash anyway. Probably add a good few hundred quid to your next policy and wreck your no claims :nice: So think of it like that and the £1000 excess doesn't seem too horrible :))
