anyone sprayed there headlights ?

has anyone ever opened up there headlights and sprayed the inside of them ?
if so, can you show me a picture so i can look ? :)....thinking about doing it on my ej9 :)
 
Yes, very straight forward. The most time consuming part is getting the glue off the lens but well worth the effort
 
Yes, as Charlie says above , straight forward.
I used a heat gun to heat the glue around the lens, and reheated the glue to stick back together.
But just to be on the safe side, I used a clear silicone to go round the lens to ensure a sealed unit, otherwise you'll get misting.
 
i have done it to my friends ej9 u can find me in facebook and i can show u the result , its easy to do it , u just need time to remove spoilers etc than do the actual work xD
 
Just done mine 3days ago, pretty straigh forward tbh

Hardest part is as said is sealing the lights together again, I didn't have a heat gun so just used a hairdryer :)
 
i did mine in the oven. was no problem at all. hardest part for me was trying not to snap any clips.
i pre-heated the oven to 200c and between 3-5 minutes kept checking on them till it was soft enough to prize apart. sprayed up then back in the oven to reseal them. then went around the edges with clear sealant to ensure it was sealed fully.
 
Why would you want to spray your headlights???

Surely only making them dimmer. Why not spray the inside of your windscreen while your there. :nice:
