aRc's 1998 CW Facelift EK9

nice build, you car cleaning skills needs a major polish up,i could never let my car get that dirty must be hard to get clean with all that road salt on your car that long, but other then that looks good. i thought you would have made at least 187bhp with them mods.

Love dished steering wheels,
Where you thinking of tracking it, oulton park? I went round there in november it was awesome

yeah, i like the oem wheel but having had it changed then i definitely prefer the OMP one! i love it now! :)

yeah, the track day would either be at Oulton Park or Anglesey! i've never been to the Anglesey track but have been at a spectator at Oulton a lot plus been round there as a passenger on a track day a couple of times! would love to have a go though :)

Looks good mate, really like it!

thank you mate :)

yeah, my car gets pretty dirty in the winter months but i do try and keep it clean in the summer! your cars are always gleaming and put mine to shame!

yeah, its power output does seem down and the only thing that had been changed since last time was it was running standard 95 petrol rather than 99. can't see that having too much of a difference! will hopefully get it mapped this summer anyway :)

i've been with that car to have another service today along with having the spoon SW388's put back on for summer. the OMP steering wheel was also installed along with a Tegiwa bar.

Looking good. You keep driving past my house. If you see someone hanging out the window doing the team america wave, it's just me :D

Btw, are they ado8 tyres? How to you rate them as I'm planning on buying a set?

Hi Andy.
Not been on here for a while, had to take my mind off cars whilst saving

The cars looking great. Saw it parked at Tesco with the Spoon calipers, but only just seen the wheels.

Currently on the search for a EK9 myself.

Very clean looking car, it looks like you use it alot that's what a car is for to drive and enjoy. you've got some n
nice mods there to and it just proves mileage is nothing if there looked after.

Read the whole build, really nice updates dude :)

Looking forward to some more! Love builds like this.

cool mate, definitely let me know when you find one and we'll arrange a meet up :) was good to see you the other month too, shame our conversation got cut short but the middle of a Tesco isn't the best on a Saturday! :)

Love this 9 mate really like your choice of mods :nice:

thanks mate, your comments are much appreciated :) i'm a big fan of yours too :nice:

Awesome car, Love those spoon wheels on it! :)

thanks mate, your cars not too shabby either! hope you're still liking that Recaro seat and it gets some use over the summer :)

thanks for the comments. yeah, this car gets used a lot as i have put 70k miles on it in three years of ownership but can't fault it at all! as you say, just need to keep them well serviced :)

thanks for the comments, will certainly keep this updated. will hopefully get a new intake setup in the not too distant future plus a ecu and remap is still high on the to do list!

not the most exciting update but when the car was having it's 150k service, it was highlighted that my front discs were showing some wear and as they were on it when i got it in 2009 then they've certainly lasted me with 70k miles covered! the Ferodo pads were also one of the first things i did to the car so those didn't owe me anything either! i highly rate the Ferodo pads so went for those again with grooved Stoptech discs.

What variant KW coilovers do you have ?

What do you think of them ?

great 9 mate, keep up with the good work pm me if you ever want to sell those spoon calipers ;) and secondly did you make the board with your gauges on?

They are Variant 2's - so you can change the ride height and damper strength. I come to these from the very damaged Ohlins one's so they were like a dream at first! haha! I find them really good and do rate them but people do comment on the stiffness of the ride when getting lifts but that maybe just how they are setup! I would recommend them anyway :)

Perfect ride height in my opinion. And i love the wheels!

Thanks for the kind comments! I do prefer the car with the SW388's on too :)

Thanks for the comments :) I will keep you in mind with the Calipers :nice: The Gauges are in the photos of my friends old car as I have his Steering Wheel! He made the Gauge Board himself though! I can ask if he still has it, if you want, but know the Gauges are now installed on his Focus RS Mk1.

no real changes for a while now but have had the car serviced, undersealed and machine polished for the Winter months so have taken a few photos:

thanks for looking :)
