Hallo all,
Thanks for reading. I've recently moved to Reading with my EJ9.
The history of my motorcar is as follows:
The car was bought new (ex-demo model) in 1998 by my dear old grandmother to replace her 1988 DX. Thirteen years and 19822 miles later she gave it to me as her driving had never been great at the best of times (she never used first gear!) and was only getting more dangerous.
The first thing I had done was the IACV needed cleaning out which I had done at the stealership. The car received a full service during which one of its coil springs snapped (!) and was renewed along with a few corroded brake pipes.
I have also had it fitted with a new cambelt and rocker cover gasket as it was leaking oil.
The car has a very economical 1.4i SOHC in which I will be keeping because of its low milage.
When I last took the car to a garage, the very helpful chap (who was a Japanese motor enthusiast himself) recommended that the first things I might want to do to modify the car would be to get an induction kit and new exhaust. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience of buying such items, maybe someone reading this might be able to suggest some?
Thanks for reading, once again. I have attached a couple of pics of my motorcar when I was back at university:
