B Swap into EJ9 High Idle, EML + Over Fuelling Issues

Cyl position.
Try swapping over to your buddies dizzy if it will fit. The dizzy has a camshaft sensor in it that can play up, also check the timing is correct etc for that one.
As far as I'm aware there is only one sensor on a bseries for that issue.

Find out what code 22 is

Ah ok. So you'd have to wire that into a d series loom right?
I'd be inclined to point a finger at your wiring for that one tbh.
Cheap check would be to run the wires straight to the ecu bypassing your wiring loom.
I'm assuming you used some form of guide when you did the wiring?

Yeah, 9 is CYL position. We're going to try running a wire straight from the ECU for it, and see if that makes a difference as the pin on that wire on the loom seemed a bit ****. If that doesn't make a difference I'll try another dizzy!

Yup, had to wire the pressure switch into the loom, going to do the same for that and run some hard wires straight from the ECU and see if that makes a difference. We can bypass it pretty easily as JDM engines don't have it so you just need to bridge a couple of pins at the ECU but if I have it, I'd like it to work correctly! Could also be a faulty switch, just need to start testing things.

We took the guide off Honda Tech and the ECU pinouts from FFSquad as the wiring on USDM engines are different to EDM/JDM (RHD VS LHD). In total, we had to wire in 4 wires: VTEC solenoid, VTEC pressure switch, knock sensor and a ground from the pressure switch, that was just routed straight to the thermostat housing. Also had to relocate a few of the connectors on the loom and convert the IACV to 2 pin rather than three, and extend a few of the cables. Starting to wish I'd just bought the loom but unless a connections come loose, i'm 99% sure the loom isn't to fault!

Good find Jesse ! Op if you go down that post Jesse posted it shows you how to wire up or jump your vtec pressure switch,

ud pick up a b16a loom for 50 euro man... just do that an buy a b16a dash loom as w2ell

Haha yeah Jesse, thats the same as the one we used!

That pic about bridging the wires is what I was saying about bypassing it, think we're going to test the switch and if thats faulty we can bridge it. Just part of me want to keep it as its there for a reason!!

OBD2B B series looms that haven't been cut are all going for about £200 over here man :(

I'd definitely keep all the little bells and whistles, and have it the way it's supposed to be,

Bridged it today until I get a new sensor, wiring was fine so must be a duff sensor!

Gonna order a dizzy too, just need to find one thats not silly money haha

I got new dizzy here in Ireland for 180euro, but had problems with it , the dizzy would only let me get to 13degrees BTDC, I changed it for different one and have no problems as of now,

I've got a spare that worked on my car, I had hesitation issues with it but I am boosted so?
Might work for you, might not.
If it doesn't work send it back and I'll refund you?

Cheers for the offers guys! Borrowing a dizzy off a mate tomorrow and will see if that cures it, if so then I know I need to buy one. Trying to diagnose this by spending teh least amount of money haha.

Will let you guys know what happens.

Also thanks for the help, you two are legends :)

Wow really? ud get a perfect one here for 50 or a hacked one for 20-30
Iv seen that alright, prices in UK are lot more dearer then here for some reason, but there are lots of jap scrap here and lots of really nice jap cars too , people were bringing them over in the droves back in the boom.

With abit of luck you'll have it running proper soon enough!
