Thanks Skar. MUCH appreciated.

Ah, the warm fuzzy feeling, love it! Happy to help you out buddy. Please enjoy these as I did just a few months ago. I ended up with Sk2 Pro2's to replace OEM sticks.

Kicks me in the rear to see pics of parts from California that I once used out in S.Africa! CRAZY COOL!

Always happy to help a fellow racer out.

You have any more cams for a fellow South African??:D:please::please:

lol you arent the only one looking forthis kinda generosity, expecially with them being so rare here hahaha.

Skunk2's Pro2s!! nice choice Tama. I love how these things make the engine rev easily until 10,000rpm with a curve that looks like it would go on up until valves start hitting the pistons

"607whp on pump gas" OMG!

we now have pump gas here rated at 100 octane (according to the company, no joke). you Americans hit 600 on 95 octane lol

i think our ratings are different between each other regarding octane.
USA 95 is more like 100 in other places in the world, from what I recall.

Detonation is detonation...here or there, better octane is golden.

U guys are lucky. In SA the best we get is 95 RON.

And you are lucky also as an ek9.org member to get 2 ITR Cams as gift with no cost at all shipped to SA. I am glad for you.

@ Tama666 you have always been very helpfull to us as member on this forum. Keep the good work up.

sorry for being a bit off-topic, but here's something relevant from a known engine builder there in the U.S.

"MON: MOTOR OCTANE NUMBER.
THIS IS A HIGH SPEED-HIGH LOAD USING A 100* FAHRENHEIT INLET AIR AND
MIXTURE TEMPERATURE AT 300*F. RUNS @ 900 RPM WITH VARIABLE SPARK TIMING.
THIS IS A SEVERE TEST USING OLD TECHNOLOGY COMBUSTION CHAMBER AND IS THE RATING NEEDED FOR WIDE OPEN THROTTLE APPLICATIONS!

RON: RESEARCH OCTANE RATING.
LOW SPEED-LIGHT LOAD @ 100-125* FAHRENHEIT INLET AIR.
600 RPMs AND SPARK TIMING SET @ 13* BTDC.
MILD TESTING IS APPLIED ALSO USING OLD TECHNOLOGY COMBUSTION CHAMBERS.
THIS TESTING RESULTS IN GOOD "AFTER RUN" CONDITIONS.

SOME PRODUCERS OF RACING GASOLINE WILL POST THE HIGHER, MORE FAVORABLE, NUMBERS POSTED BY THE RON TESTING.
BE CAREFULL AND KNOW HOW THIS NUMBERS HAVE BEEN DERIVED BEFORE BUYING YOUR FUEL.
MON TESTING NUMBERS IS THE MOST RELEVANT TO OUR USE AND SHOULD BE THE ONE YOU ARE PAYING ATTENTION TO. RON BECAUSE IT IS A HIGHER NUMBER LOOKS MORE FAVORABLE BUT IS ACTUALLY DECEIVING AND JUST LOOKS AND SOUNDS BETTER..."

If I'm not mistaken what we use here is RON as well. Maybe you guys (Tama) have MON rating.

PS: The dyno record here for a pump gas 1800cc Honda engine is 641whp built and tuned by another shop, Speedworks Engineering. They're a bunch of very talented people and I'm still stupefied on how they did it. What I'm more impressed at actually, is your good deed Tama. I'm hoping you get everything out of your new build as I think you really deserve good things for what you have done.

Lucky does not describe it. I cannot put into words how grateful I am. Tama666 is 1 in a million.
I cannot thank this man enough.

you need to open up the exhaust from 2.25 asap. get to 3.o from the test pipe/cat back. get that exhale bigger, your going to need it.

...I would even recommend doing that exhaust upgrade first, over installing the ITR cams.
2.5 to 3.0 would allow for full use of those cams with your upgraded setup.

Megan Racing 4-1 header
2.25" exhaust <this is where your power gains are being pinched
Walbaro 255L/hr fuel pump
Blox AFPR set to 45PSI
CC Ultralight flywheel + stage 1 clutch
MSD dissy cap, rotor, coil and 8mm plug leads.
Factory stock bottom end and head.

...if you open that up, you will feel it. Then install the cams...:)

And why are you not running a programable ECU/ECM like Hondata or something like that?

im off to my sweat shop, lol enjoy!!! keep in touch!

2.5' exhuast is definitely on the cards. Also looking to swop to a Toda style 4-2-1 header...
Wrt the programable ecu, unfortunately we do not have many compotent tuners that can do an ecu like Hondata S300 or Neptune RTP justice.
Until such time, the car will be tuned on a Unichip version Q piggyback.

Dam, even more impressive! Talk about hard to get power! Please keep us posted on your progress.
