Okay, swapped a b16a2 from my car (preface ek3) into my mates facelift ej9.

I'm using an obd2a loom and obd2a p73 that has been de-immobilised. This was working great in my car. Engine is originally from a preface vti.

Now this is what I'm getting:

Good spark
No fuel pump prime
No fuel to cylinder
No CEL
Turns overs fine.
All fuses okay.

I have a spare plug (dark grey) from the interior loom that was plugged into the d14 ecu. But I have nowhere to plug it into the p73.

Totally lost here guys, so any help appreciated.
Think I should have used a facelift loom and ecu! :(

U basically have missed out the important plug grey ecu one so go and get a 0bd2b to 0bd2a conversion harness and hook it up and sorted

Okay I had a look at some pics of the 2b to 2a harness and it looks like there is only space for 3 plugs at the engine loom end. In total I have 4 one (darkgrey))from the interior loom and 3 ( blue, light grey and a small square shaped dark grey one).

I'll get pics up soon as I head to the lockup.

Okay I got it started by giving a 12volt feed to the fuel pump.

Still got no tacho or speedo or cel in sure there's more too.

I've been told I need to change the I interior loom to a preface one or the expensive option of obd2a engine loom and ecu. Are these my only options?

Here's a pic, the one in my hand Is from the interior loom and the others are from the 2a engine loom. Dunno if the link will work but I forgot my photo bucket password and am on my phone.

Ain't a p73 ecu a dc2 ecu? Have u changed your fuel pump? I'd start with that first and go from there get a b16 pump

Also change the engine loom to facelift then get a obd2b to 2a converstion harness for your ecu as that is the reason why its not starting.

Yeah a p73 is but it runs it fine and is de-immobilised so no need to match transponder units and stuff.

And I'm sure all civic fuel pumps are same, 180lph or something. Not 100% sure. Anyway I gave a 12volt feed to the pump and ran it up and down the street fine, no Vtec though. So the pump is fine.

Yeah do t really want to cos facelift looms are expensive and 2b to 2a conversion harnesses are like 130$. Can't seem to find any in the uk :/. Think I'm just gonna get a prefacelift interior loom and have great fun fitting that lol

Mate I'd be taking that ecu out immediately it will be fueling for a 1.8, I have a preface lift ek9 ecu forsale 60 posted if that's any good for you?

That's what I thought but it actually runs it sweet. Took the plugs out after 400 miles and they looked fine. Ran it on a d16 p2e for like 10 mins and that ran it rich as fook lol.

What do the preface ek9 ecu's rev out to?
