I'm in the midle of saving for a b18c for my ctr, I found one, he's selling it with the loom and ecu, do I not need the gearbox too or are the gear boxes tranferable between itr and ctr?? Is there any thing else I need, I've been all I need is the engine but i'm not sure??? Can some one please help? Also will my 4 branch manifold fit on the b18c or will I need another 4 branch manifold??? I was told about swapping the bottom end of both?? Get the b18c bottom end, what the bests and cheapest and how much could i sell my b16b engine for???

b16b is worth about the same as a b18c second hand, swap the whole engine and use the b18c's gearbox, im sure you can use your manifold/header on the itr engine

yeah..... what u asked was happening here. 2 frens 1 own B16B and another got B18C. Now the one who sold out the B16B engine together with the Front rear disc at RM 9000 so roughly at 2K plus US dollar.. i also found 1 B18C already at RM11,000 without bottom front rear disc parts.. worth? my fren has 3 ecu which is J's Racing, Apexi and spoon and he also want to let go his B18C cams and pulley plus valve as jus upgraded to Brian crower cams and AEM pulley...

would it be easire to buy the spoon stroker kit? that way i'd have higher compression ratio then an itr? and it's very hard to source a itr engine with gearbox here and they cost a furtune!!

the b16b is in effect a destroked b18c6 JDM ITR motor,so put the spoon stoker kit in or get the b18c6 and put that in either way you'll have the same engine :nice: about 200 bhp and 140lb.ft ,the stroked b16b will be slightly higher compression though ,as far as im aware it costs about the same to buy a b18c6 JDM ITR engine as it does to stroke a b16b engine ,dont forget if you stroke the b16b you'll need to fit the B18C6 ITR ECU or a piggy back to up the fueling, the
b16b transmission will bolt up to the b18c6 ITR motor no problems at all mate

yes you can use your intake mani, you can use the ctr box or the itr box, the swap really is plug and play! you will need an ITR ecu though.

If the ITR motor is a 98+ it has a 4.78 final drive instead of the b16b's 4.4. So use whatever transmission you prefer, you can just sell which one you dont use.

may i ask (witout getting slated) why do people do this to such a rare/ cult car, that has a hand built, legendary engine already, is this not sacrilege of the highest kind? :D

If I was a millionaire, I would have donate some money to people who really need them, buy a supercar, and build a museum for my EK9!!
But since life sucks in many cases, you might end up being forced to disintegrate your car and sell the parts one by one :(
If I have no reason however to break apart my car, I would never do it

Its to the car move a little quicker. or well a lot more quicker!!!

For me, I had a B18 in the backyard and when I got my CTR the motor was already out.... SO, I had a b18 and a B16 - not a very hard choice which one I will put in. You're right, there isn't much of a HP/TQ difference but there still is a difference. If you have money, go for the K swap and call it a day.

what 15hp????

Have u ever raced an itr??? there's a big difference on a rolling start, as for the k swap, there's a place here that does it for 7000:shocked:   for that 7000 I could get a brillant turbo set up!!!

Both cars are slow but a turbo set up has much more potential for higher spec than a k20 engine. would u not agree???

Of course, depends how involved you want to get though. There are K motors out there that push ALMOST 400hp ALL MOTOR.

I would rather have a K motor with 260hp or so than a turbo bseries ONLY because the K motor will probably be more reliable..
