will be ok daily driven with a good tune, could do with looking at a piston change to get the most from them though
Just "slamming" on BC4s without degreeing in the cams, without checking V2V and P2V clearance, and no fuel/ignition tuning just sounds insane/stupid to me.
BUT, 190whp without all of the above is not bad!
What makes you think they were just jammed in there by a caveman? These cams were professionally installed and tuned on a dyno, i know the user that owned the car this test was performed on, it was user Guillotine from another forum, he had a b16b in a Honda Del Sol.
But people do just jam them in, hell i just saw a thread were some idiot installed Pro3 cams with a 2" exhaust and no tuning and was complaining about lack of power :/
I am considering getting these in my B16B, the full lot, the cams, springs, retainers, valves and headgasket aswell as a full 2.5" exhaust.
Will they be ok as it is my daily driver and it does get used everyday. I want good low down power (well, as good as B16 can get) with a nice mid - top end for when I want some fun but it must be reliable.
I have the full spec 3 setup and remappable ECU on my daily driver.lad get the bc spec 3+ won't need as much compression as the spec 4's and will see decent enough gain too in the midrange too but would recommend getting it mapped as well

With a good setup and map you will see circa 200hp.
