Hi there. Currently own a b18c integra. I know it's not the best to turbocharge with the high compression but is it possibly for it to be reliable on a sensible boost pressure say below 10psi? Or would I be better supercharging it. Don't want to go down the na route as it's too expensive for the little gains. Also don't want to spend silly money on f/I but I think it can be done with a sensible amount of money on decent parts . Any advice would be great. Not looking for silly power just something around the 250 mark

best bet would sell the type r engine get a b18c4 sir change the twin intake a go autoworks turbo kit or piece one together easily make 250 man i know a guy with a ek4 vti 144 miles made 236bhp on 7psi ebay kit two lol

Yeah I know a c4 would be better and there cheap to replace if you blow it but would love to stick with my b18c if I could. I would proberly peace a kit together myself as the eBay kits are pretty poor but work for some I suppose

should have no problems turbocharging it just get a really conservative tune for reliability on 7-8lbs and you'll love it

Supercharging would be your best bet, getting ahold of the supercharger is another story.

Yeah struggling to find any! Might have to turbo if I can't find one!

If you ask me superchargers are old hat, turbos have come on leaps and bounds the last ten years, what with vvt's, ball bearing chra's, forged milled wheels etc no longer do you have to put up with silly lag if you pick the right turbo for the application. With a high static compression and a fairly small turbo will make for a killer setup on the streets.

Yo! Turbo it, intercooling is important so if you can monitor your iat's, run the highest octane gas allowable and keep the tune safe you should be fine. If your still nervous you can always just get a thicker head gasket to bring the compression down and throw in some ARP headstuds while your there, good luck.
