i also have b16b with 55000 kms is it woth getting the b18c i read here that some guys prefer the b16b
 
Stick with your 16b mate.
Theres a few tuning companies doing a darton sleeve process to the bottom end which will give 2000cc capacity.
Do a few other mods, and with a remapabble ECU you'd be talking a minimum of 250hp.

Which company amjdhow much we looking at?
 
Company in Ireland are doing it. I know one one place in the UK who are doing it for a member on another forum. I dont know what the name of that company is though.

The Irish company charges 1200Euro (About 1000GBP) to machine the bottom end and insert and weld the sleeves into place. This involves you giving them the bottom end completely stripped.
The good news is that you can use your standard crank. You will have to shed out on a proper set of Rods and pistons though and that aint cheap. Engine will require running in and mapping. If you can strip and assemble the engine yourself that will save on costs but overall its not cheap.
You get what you pay for though, and a setup like that can cope with turbo applications.
 
yea think ill just use my b16b least i know what kind egine i have can always do mods to it after

I think R Motion are starting to do some 2.0 stuff with Costworth pistons, they should have some graphs out soon of the standard head on a bored out 2.0 bottom end, you could always PM Drmikey and find out prices etc. Or Daz from DNR is a B20 pro, one of his B20 engines is up for sale if you were interested in one that's already done from JDMarron's DC2 (I think).

your more than welcome to come and view and test the car as its still complete, willing to drive 100miles after deposit is left for conversion to be done. price for forum 1400, 1200 if a replacement b16a dropped into my car
