With my DC2 I could have come out of that corner 200+ km/h....but I never did, never dared to.

It's not a grand per meter. Fluid clear up is around 700-800 if I remember correctly for 30 minutes work...unfortunately I know by experience :((

Base fee for attendance of armco truck: €150
Removing damaged armco: €10/metre (x2 or x3 or x4 for multiple-height sections)
Replacement armco: €31/metre (x2 or x3 for double/triple height)
Removing damaged armco posts: €5.10 each
Replacing armco post: €39 each
Safety car attendance: €82 per 30 mins (car + 2 people)
Circuit closure: €1,350 per hour
Recovery truck: €190 (inc VAT)
Hospital stay & air ambulance: Let's just say, do NOT go there without travel insurance! (Though a European Health Card - which replaced the E111 - may cover the hospital bit.)

That would of cost him a lot £££, not just his car but paying the rip off prices for 'repairs to the track'
 
Nothing that cheap. And most won't cover the ring for obvious reasons.

Can understand insurance not covering the ring, but didn't think combe would of been high risk like that?
 
Apparently over 25% of uk accidents on track happen at quarry corner on castle Combe. 25% of ALL accidents on 1 corner!
Well that's what I was told in the japfest briefing

If you pause the video before the first impact, it seems that the front right wheel/suspension is already damaged...weird. Maybe the the video only captured the result of the previous impact, or , front suspension gave way?

i seen this the day before it died i took a pic of it beside 2 CRX's. WOW thats a bad crash like hope everyone is ok
 
a car like this this guy cant not be on a forum somewhere or have somebody on a forum somewhere that knows him and what happened. i also noticed that tama but thought/think it might be due to the counter steering?. was also curious as to the sound is was making before the initial impact and the sound of the tires screeching. before i discovered it was a k20, i thought it might be a Supercharged motor of sorts by the 'whine' it makes or is that just arterial noise coming from else where, not the vehicle?
