Been @ york raceway today! for some 1/4 run's!


Yeah I dont get that, not much point in it really. Seemed like the steward was argueing with him for a while about that as it turned out. But still gave him the B' trophy.. then I heard the guy tellin the track rep bloke that he should have been given the C trophy aswell:confused::dance:
 
JB, C class trophy had already been given out so I had no chance like you say.. And that ek9 already won the fastest in B class and got given the trophy so u had no chance of getting it :rolleyes:


Yeah i know But that EK9 should have really been in D class because it was a 1.8 turbo! He only got a trophy cos they didnt know what to do with him! lol

The actual winner of my class was a starlet turbo that Had a best time of 14.1760

They said that cos he was quicker than the Saxo, but you were quicker than him! Plus he should have been in D class!

My first run when I had to back off in 4th beat that guys time :p

Dont know why he put his in the B cat. He told me the sign-on office woman told him he should be in that one :confused:

When I signed on they showed me that card and told me to read it and pick the class my car falls into. :((
 
You guys seem to be having alot of fun up there. I am in the process of upgrading my engine right now, so the car is down. When I am finished I will be looking for 11.9-12.2 ALL MOTOR! More info on setup later (to many spys from my home country visit this site to get my setup info)

Was a really good day. I'd love a go on the strip if I can get my gearbox issues sorted.

I've been experimenting today and I cannot change from 2nd to 3rd without it crunching when I'm above 7000rpm:(

How much are K20's?:D:eek:

Im aving the same issue dude! :mad: Damn Castrol. Im going to change back to Redline MTF. see if that solves it. Ive never had this issue with a fluid before but I'd normally use the 75W-90 and not the 80w-90 we used in ours (just because it wasnt on shelf at the time). Im pretty certain the redline MTF is a thicker fluid too! :((

Ek9Turbo, what weight and type of oil do you use in your trans? I've found redline to be very grindy, and nobody else seems to like it.
 
Congrats on the times guys. Now lemme see some 60ft's :)

My best 60ft of the day was 2.3499
& the best i have done with the B18 is 2.2076

But i am running maxxis victor tyre's on a 45 profile:angry:

Some better tyre's for next year should se my 60ft time's come down!
Not to mention wantin to put the MFactory gear set & 4.9FD in! But dont know when ill have the money for that as i have a baby on the way!:nice:

Used silko before but it is naff ofr te street as it breaks down so fast. Used honda, good stuff, used Redline MTF, spoton (dont recall grade) and I used to ALWAYS use Castrol syncromesh (now differential) 75w-90? in my prelude, superb stuff. But recently me and Tim changed to this but in 80w-90 grade and damn its no good at all :angry: Not sure if its the grade beign WAAY too thick for our climate and this kind of box (me-thinks) or what but either way its not working for me or Tim (sandwiches). Very surprised. Might go back to honda stuff v.soon.
