Bit of EK9 bashing going on..

Great that helps!

Forums are our arenas to debate guys and that is what is happening. Just because someone chooses to post something on MCR-VTEC (when he uses other forums far more) does not mean that the whole of MCR-VTEC either agrees with him or doesn't.

Please don't make this out to be more than what it is. It is a debate, some banter with a few badly chosen terms used both here and on MCR-VTEC. Things like that happen, this is the internet. The threads will be monitored and if any "attacks" begin to happen the whole thread will be either locked or deleted. The term "forum war", that has been used both here and on MCR-VTEC, is a little lower than I expected from the MCR guys and you guys too. Come on fellas, how old are we?

I really hope we all look at the way we post before we click the "submit" tab, see how it sounds first. I will be keeping an eye on things over there too and I hope this is soon accepted for what it is, a banterful debate.

Loud

Point taken, i will behave :nice:

ok 1 more,
here are your posts, ass kissing the origional poster who is slating will so it would seem...., then saying your going to take your car to will,

quote:agreed, nice one Ron!

further piss taking of jimbobs results/ theory behind them.

quote:
Also you are forgetting the flux capacitor in the B18C-R which makes it super Jay-Dee-Em y0 and the gearbox which is made from titanium reinforced paper, so losses are minimal....

maybe you like to think your a comedian but it comes across as two faced to me,

its up to you what you think tho,

It seems like this is getting off topic and I can't understand why?! Do you have a problem or something?

The second quote was a private joke, so I can understand why you didn't get it and have taken it out of context! If you don't believe me, see the other posts, in particular the one from Unit 8.

I wasn't 'ass kissing' Ron, I, like most of us should be if we want to learn.....welcome threads like Ron's which call into question some of the things that are posted around, sometimes I agree, sometimes I don't. If you don't believe me on this either, there are plenty of threads on mcr-vtec where I have disagreed with Ron including an extensive one about poly bushings vs hard rubber, and ones about where Ron has called into the question the quality/performance of Mugen parts etc....

So please, again, I ask you not to jump at the chance to go calling people out when you haven't read everything. How is saying 'nice one Ron', being two faced?! I didn't see it as him slagging off Will or Jimbob!!!! In my opinion, Ron was just sharing his opinions and technical knowledge, which is still ongoing in the original thread I believe......

I am tired of this now so I won't post any more on this topic. Hope things are cleared up, and I'm sure Jimbob and Will understand that I was in no way slagging either them or their work off......

Just registered there.. they spend all they're time slaggin i think.. hopefully will (ek9turbo) wont get a bad name out of it...

He's got to back him self up, he has said somethings that even i slightly disagree with but i just kept quiet as it was not really a big deal nor was it related to tuning which is what his thread was about.

ok, it wasn't the nice one ron, it was the "agreed" bit,

its wrong to agree if you dont understand what is being said and with no proof that jimbobs figures are incorrect.

the theory that they are incorrect is simply just theory, i accept some good points have been made, but still no solid proof.

this topic is like discussing the theory of evolution or science Vs religion, it will never be agreed.

if the other bits were private jokes or whatever, then thats fine, i'm sorry but i could not know that. i appologise for taking it a bit far.

any way this has gone on far enough, next time i'l keep quiete and leave it to some one else!

Hey guys.

This threads been brought to my attention. Ive had a quick scan through what everyones posted on MCR and on here. I do feel its a shame that somone has nothing better to do with their time than to post defamatary and damaging comments about myself and my work with one particular client.

Jimbobs car makes 198whp on a dynojet. Gearbox drag on a rundown test is approximately 12whp. Simple as that. What else is there to say?

Just to give you guys a comparison, well a itr with exhaust system makes (see graph below). And on a dynojet you can tell if its wheel hp because it just says 'power' on the axis. If its the whp + the gearbox drag measure then its axis will say 'clutch power'.

To the people that defended me, thankyou for the support.

As for the thread that was started, I dont intend to waste any more of my time on it.

It is a shame, I hope you don't think I was causing trouble or anything by posting here?

If the thread was made about myself, I would of wanted to defend myself or at least comment.

People do not always agree, I just wish the original thread was more of a discussion/debate rather than 'defamatary and damaging' like you have said Will. It was pretty harsh.

I will still be coming for a WILL tune at some point thats for sure.

Hi Will,

It has developed into something a little unpleasant, although I do believe it wasn't intended that way initially. Hypersonik and I have had our run ins in the past, but now that I know how he posts I see he posts bluntly, a little more thought as to how it could be read would help, but that's just him lol

It would appear that the debate is continuing on MCR and has now been calmed and directed without the silly comments. I am sorry it got a bit daft, but would also suggest you have a look at the other posts over there and add your piece too. The thread has become a discussion and I would want you to have your say...or not, of course it's entirely up to you. You know how we run things over there and this is a little out of character for them.

Thanks for the reply Loud, and for respectfully editing the related threads. I appreciate it. I'll make sure the thread on this forum is taken care of in the morning. Like yourself I dont wish there to be any 'forum-wars' as some have excitabley commented.

I don't see why a technical discussion should not continue, i posted a good bit of technical info over at MCR and was kind of hoping to see what people would say. Then again i tend to take a more relaxed approach to moderation, i see it more as helping, not moderating and this almost seems like censorship... Should we lock and delete every thread that has someone complaining about company, a user, a seller etc?

Hey Blinx, the info is still there and I truly believe in passionate discussion or debate. The only thing I have changed is a couple of comments that could have been taken the wrong way, oh and a couple of idiot posts that added nothing to the debate. Other than that it stays open and makes an interesting read.

I agree we can't delete things simply because it may upset someone, on either side of the fence, as that is simply taking away from the whole learning process.

I think just ignore it guys, everyone on the internet is free to write their point of view.

agreed and agreed :nice:

Glad that's sorted!

OT Loud, but is it possible to change the colour scheme within your CP at mcr-vtec?

I have to admit i'm struggling. I have to edit > select all so it highlights everything:eek:

See you tomorrow btw!
