Bob Barron's ek9 k20 supercharged


K20 rotrex charged.. Running 420bhp (boost by gear and all that) crazy crazy quick car :lol:
 
Supercharger can't be boost by gear,

Seems seriously quick, does it have a open diff though?

Yes boost by gear, this is the second Rotrex K series I've successfully implemented this on. I believe Bob may be the only one within UK/Scotland currently running BBG on a Rotrex charged K series. Works very well to aid traction in the lower gears.
 
Credit to @bobbarron who has really made this car his own since taking ownership of it from a good customer of mine here in Ireland.

How does that work then?
 
Superchargers have bypasses to control boost.
well mine did - eaton m62
 
So it just wastes off boost in the lower gears?
 
Really nice power delivery there considering the BHP in a light FWD car

A charger is the next logical step for more power from a k20 Imo. Are the engine internals forged?
 
That looks scary quick....... and so solid looking for a fwd car pushing that much power very impressive.

Are the grey bits in the dash bits of carbon?

It is still on stock internals mate
