brake pedals really hard

just swapped 282s and ek9 brake servo and master cylinder and my pedal is REALLY hard and brakes are crap.
what could this be?

vacuum problem

start the engine up and check for a vacuum at the servo

ye somthin to do with the servo. have you conected the vacuum pipe. what to do is have the engine off pump the brake till peddle hard then hold it down and start the engine at the same time as pressing the brake peddle if your peddle goes soft and slowly sinks then you know the servo is working. iv also seen seen ****ed flexie pipes give you a very hard peddle

Sorted, vacuum pipe was wrong way round deeeeeeeerrrr!!!!!
