Hi folks.

So my dad wants to get rid of his DC2, To be fair it needs some minor tidying up on the aesthetic side of things like both the bumpers being re-painted and a few other little bits if your fussy. However it's a very solid car on the rust side of things, both arches have all original spot welds present and no filler is involved around that area like most.

I will be dealing with the car on the breaking side of things if it ends up that way. The car will be broke 'IF' we get a buyer for the engine. So here are the engine details:

JDM B18C (Unopened). As some of you know the last engine dropped a valve as far as we are aware, it was a total loss so a replacement engine was required, after about a month of searching and dodgy sellers we stumbled across this engine from a company in the South of Ireland called icetronix. It was removed from a customers car as the customer was going for a K-swap. We bought it with 112k km's (Just under 70k miles) and ran it as a weekend car for about 3 months so it's on about 72k miles now. It's a very, very sweet running engine, nice and quiet around the head on idle unlike his old unit, and in regards to oil usage it's very impressive for a B18C.

The engine was bought as a bare replacement for £1650.00 ( Receipt to prove).

We will sell it as a complete replacement including:

  • Distributor
  • Leads
  • Complete inlet manifold incl. (TB, sensors, injectors)
Price - £1500.00 + Delivery
Location - Northern Ireland
Paypal - Yes or Bank transfer

Can send video's of it running etc...

So again if this sells, or someone is interested I can include extra parts etc...

I will advertise the other parts with prices once I get someone interested in the engine.

Me, my father and mother all have R's and they all get maintained regardless of cost.

Kind regards
Kris

Hi mate, apologies but the seat already has a home in my car if it sells, there's just one anyways.

Kris

Very solid car and a fit going engine which I have seen go myself!

Also a great price for the motor, I'm sure people are realising how hard it's getting to source a good B18c motor these days

Those aftermarket pedals? Accelerator and foot rest one

Everything will be forsale once I have a buyer for engine apart from seat & rail and maybe gauges.

Thanks for the heads up Stephen, appreciate it.

Yeh, They came on on the car from Japan mate, Unsure of brand though, I'll get it checked out when/if I start listing.

Cheers!

Is this the same engine that had low rpm issues a couple of months ago? What was the source of the problem in the end?

Also did you get a new gearbox with the engine or does it still have the original 96 spec s80?

Many thanks!

Get me a price for the shell with 5stud setup, exhaust, interior dad might be interested. You you selling up anyway?

Hi mate, It's a buggered IACV, off throttle problem. In the process of getting my IACV on and testing it, don't want to mug anyone off.

It's a S80 96' box with a spoon 3+4th, Cusco 1.5 way LSD.

I'll get back to you Phil.

Cheers guys.

Once you begin breaking this Kipper I'll take the radio blanking plate and the tray the radio sits in.

Well man would take mugen airbox fit an ek4?? or was it specifically for a dc2?

Price on the whole shell? Brother wants to k swap but we are finding ek9 shells too expensive

The shell will definitely be forsale if the engine sells, don't know how much you want included?

Don't really want to price it up yet since the car is still 100% complete. I'll keep you in mind though mate, cheers.

Yeah that's no worries mate.
He's pretty set on an ek9 ATM anyway, shells are much more expensive, harder to find and usually in abit of a state so it's a possibility he'll go dc2 at a later date.

Gave the IACV a thorough clean out, adjusted the tension on the throttle cable too, Seem's to be idling fine now for those interested :nice:.

So the engine has sold excl. gearbox.

Along with:

-ECU

-Gear shifter

-Manifold
