Car covers?

Hey guys, my first proper post on here.
Anyone got any advice or tips where to get a outdoor car cover from?
I would garage it but the insurance company want an extra £100 just to garage it, tch!!!
 
How will they ever know its garaged? If it gets stolen just say it was the one and only time you put it in the garage... Or don't mention a garage at all! :D
 
Why does it cost more to put it in a more secure place?

This. I've never heard of an insurance company charge more for putting it in a secure place.

And ebay would be your best bet, but I've heard the covers can fade the paint slightly.
 
Get some quotes.
It's cheaper for me to park out on the street than garage

Because people tend to crash into garage walls and doors quite often, and claim from their insurance when it happens. That is the actual reason too.
 
Car covers getting brought up a lot recently. Search

Keep it garaged would be best. If you can't, get a good cover and ensure the car is clean and dry when you put the cover on.
 
I got mine from Argos, £25 and fits perfectly over my CRX, I got a medium, you'd probably need a large for EK etc
 
Thanks for your input guys, I think I'm just gonna garage it.
I asked why does it cost more the lady said its because they have had an increase in claims from customers who scratched theirs doors in the garage and other related garage accidents. That was elephant anyways.

I have seen a blue Honda access cover for sale once but I was too late lol
 
I've seen car covers damage paint if they've been left under too long....... Winter, etc, stuff like that. If I had a garage thats where it would be staying. I'd either pay the 100quid or just don't mention it. Its got to be safer locked up. That doesn't make any sense to me.......

tbh mate they are all gunna be atleast that price for an ek specific one. Cheaper ones are a no no as they trap mouisture inbetween the car and the cover damaging the paint.

Maybe ok though if you stick a few layers on wax on before it's covered.
