This is true an good advice... I was thinking within the next few years or so start sorting out mortgages etc and doing exactly what your friend does. £80K more! See now that is just crazy :)

I do enjoy being an electrician dont get me wrong and im glad ive always got that behind me now, ive just always been one to try and find more challenges/goals for myself, new ideas etc keep the brain ticking... Routine for too long is not for me even if it works.

Not only that there is BIG money to be earned and i like the idea of property development. I know all the right people and will sort out any electrical work needed myself. I will still do odd private jobs on the side from time to time if need be.

I'm a technical engineer on the gas side service, repair and upgrade work. Don't know the sparkys may reconise the face.
 
alex! you had any thoughts on what you wanna do yet dude? no one has asked yet i dont think...
 
still have no idea... am working some crazy hours ( 11-13hrs per day/ 6-7 days a week) just now because its xmas time so not really got time to look or have a think about anything... man am sooo tired...

How old are you? Could you get an apprentiship and what would you like to do? Practical, office, work away, armed forces. Have you got any aims or goals to go for eg, your own house, self employed.
