i have a 99 usdm hatch with a ls/vtec its jump to obd1 and the cel is 43 which is fuel system i believe what can cause this?

car sounds like its running on 3 cyl. at idle but when i give it gas sounds fine.
i go to uti and my teacher said that its running real rich thats why its running on 3 cyl at idle. but when you give it gas spark is increased thats why i dont have the problem when driving and only at idle...soemone tell me please :secret:

anyone? im stuck on this since i never had this issue or is there a link i can read up on..

can it be a o2 sensor?

90 % of the times it is this sensor, remember, if you change it, use the specific one for your car / motor. (don't use a obd2 one if your car is obd1 for example)

9 % of the time, this can be caused by bad fuel pump, dirty fuel filter / fuel, bad fuel regulator or a bad relay.

1% of the time this error code can be caused by a bad ecu.

I leave this chart that will definitely help you :secret:, I had the same problem with a 92 civic with a b16a swap, and it was the O2 sensor.

this leads me to another question dont the injectors have there own code??

i fixed the problem
well once the intake manifold gasket had a leak big enough to were i can hear it. i changed it. and no more idle misfire. :)

sweet,
nice chart as well...

i believe the injectors do have their own codes, but they are more specific.
