hi guys! ive been into hondas for a while and ive not long bought my first one (civic coupe sr vtec ej8) and unfortuetly shes burning alot of oil and doesnt feel quite like the 125bhp it had 134 000 Miles ago hahaha.

So i have decided to swap my D16Y8 for a B18C4, still have a few parts to purchase so wont be starting the conversion for a few weeks yet.

Any hints and tips would be more than appreciated!

dont forget your engine mounts, going to need a p28 or p30 ecu

Engine mounts should have arrived today but didnt :l. Yeah ive ordered a socketed P30 ecu from h tune, a chip with a B18C4 base map and an OBD2A-OBD1 conversion harness.

Only thing i havent got which i think i need is an ek4/ek9 pre facelift engine loom

Arrived today!

.Htune reconditioned and socketed P30 ecu with IAB components (secondary throttle flap on b18c4) and one wire vtec (both of these options are required for a b18c4).

.Htune road tuned basemap, rev limit-8400, vtec-6000.

.OBD2A-OBD1 conversion harness.

More parts arrived from tegiwa imports. B18C4 timing belt and tensile pully, timing side dual post mount EK4 and EK4 rear L bracket (both are a must for this swap). All genuine Honda parts

Timing belt done, new alternator and power steering belt and new engine brackets fitted, fitted my shiney cam cover with new washers and nuts too. Took the inlet manifold off and gave it a clean out and paint, just waiting on the new thermal gasket for it. Wish I had money for the wiring loom :(

Thermal inlet manifold gasket made of PTFE,supposed to stop heat soak from the block,it's about 5mm thick. Less heat soak=colder denser air=more power.....hopefully haha
