Civic coupe shell (black)

Total long shot..... but in the market for a black civic coupe (EJ8/EM1, so EK shape).

Had one lined up to break, but sale fell through! Keep browsing autotrader/ebay etc, but need one with absolutely NO RUST, especially on the rear wheel arches inside and out, and no rust on rear quarter panels.

Happy to buy a whole car, like an EJ8 SR, EM1 providing bodywork is in good nick, although budget is limited so EM1 is unlikely. All my panels/bumpers/interior/motor/ancillaries/wiring will be being transferred across anyway, just need the bare shell in good nick! Want to keep away from boot leaks.

Any and all help appreciated! :)
 
What's wrong with ur coupe? i'm in a similar position to you also, cant find anything, though if i do/if you do, maybe we can buy together or sell parts to you/sell parts to me, as i'm in need of the rear boot lid only (i've manage to sourse the front, rear bumpers and side skirts now)
 
hey mate just thought of this on pistonheads

Em1 in blue going for £1695 so you ould offer £1500 or £1550 maybe a bit much but you could always sell the engine and bits off it that you already have which would make it nearer to £900 - 1000 for the shell.

Looks clean ust says a bit of laquer peel but i though you were respraying anyway??
 
just looked at it-seems brilliant price for an EM1-wonder why he's selling for that price to be honest.

i havent got enough funds to purchase the car to use, especially the fact i've just bought the bumpers and side skirts from another forum member here-only thing i need now is a bootlid and thinking on a DC2 rear wing in replacement of mine with the Buddyclub GT wing (seems odd to have the large GT wing with an OEM bodykit...unless other ppl correct me in thinking)

The rust on my right rear wheel arch and rear quarter is not really worth repairing. It will only come back anyway, and I'd rather a shell in decent condition. Also have a boot leak that I have tracked down to a crack in the seal/welds where the bootlid sits, that could be repaired but I just fancy a new shell. Plus it's in need of a respray due to some f**ker keying it, and some other niggly bits.

I've actually got a spare bootlid in black mate if you want it. It's at my parents' house, and has a hideous spoiler bolted to it, but I can get you some pics if you want. I bought it as a spare for when I drilled the holes for my Mugen wing which I have now.

Thanks mate! Didn't see that actually, it's a good price and local just a shame it's blue! My intention was to respray my shell and get the rust sorted all in one, but that was before I realised the condition the inner arches were in.

At the moment if I buy any it will likely be grantek's B18C coupe. That way I have a fair few duplicates I can shift to help cover costs, a spare B18C conversion, interior, exterior panels, aftermarket wheels, tyres and a few other bits.

B16A2's go for pennies these days, especially high mileage.

So if I were to buy that EM1, I wouldn't be able to make a lot of money through selling left over parts, and I'd have to shell out for a full respray. (My car will be staying pre-facelift whatever shell because of my Feel's bonnet).

Decisions decisions!
 
I have a mint EJ8 shel up here, and I really mean MINT! Zero rust on the arches, totaly fresh. I am selling the whole car for 500.

Swinging by my parents house this weekend so I'll get some picture for you mate! If you can pick it up I'm not too fussed what you offer me for it, just taking up space!
 
Thanks for that-i'm gonna be popping up manchester perhaps next weekend to pick up the bumper and side skirts which i've bought off ICEMAN, so will pop round urs to pick up the bootlid also if ur free-can u p'm me ur mobile so i'll be able to get in touch?
