Hey guys since buying my first house it doesnt look like im goin to get my EK9 for another year or so....

So! Ive seen a 1998 VTI in black with 59k on the clock, its in immac condition and the guy wants £4,500 for it. He might take 4 but anyway!

Does anyone own or owned one? As far as ive read i beleive there 160bhp doing 0-60 in 7.6?

Can anyone give me fuel figures and also any advice or what to watch for if i decide to get it?

Regards, DAn

orite mate. it got a vti 1996 with 83000miles on it. runs amazing. if you dont have the money i would say there the next best thing to an ek9.

You could also consider a UKDM EG6. Same engine but the model before. Easily pick up a nicer one for £2500 if money is tight

I could afford to part with about 4k at most, it is minted though i can tell its been looked after!

if i were you and had that money to part with i would get it. like you said if its been looked after there should be nothing wrong with it.

my mate has a uk spec vtis, runs great has 60 - 70 miles. and keeps the pace with my other mates jdm delsol. think he payed about the same.

i have a 2000 face lift vti. they are awsume cars never had any problems with it drives as good as any new car. fuel all gose down to how u drive £10 will get me between 40-80 miles. 40 on a sunday when out the b roads for a bit lol. drive them like a granny and they run on air

lol, is it a fast car though? I like cars to be good taking off, mid-range? I ask cause i dont wanna go all the way to wales to not like it?

i owe an EK4 too :D like mentioned above its a good reliable ride :nice:

Like EK9, has B-series engine B16B/B16A2 which rev high. . .

£4000 looks good for a mint sample... dont worry for high milage as these engines will last for loads if well looked after.

if u plan mods for the '4' these will probably fit ur '9'... :win:

G/L with price. . . any possible :pics:

Thanks alot for the replys guys mucho helpfull, Found a few Jordans for about 5k, although they have between 80-95k miles on them, there pretty immaculate though, whats everyones thoughts on the Jordans i know there the same engine thats in them?

i personally love the colour! benkei has one on 70ish k in the for sale forum.
very nice example

yes they are fast cars. 158bhp std. put a good 4-2-1 manifold induction kit de cat and a cat back exhaust and in a straight line there is nothin in it between a std or lightly tuned ek9 if so about half a sec to 100mph

yeh they are fast. a few of my mates that have 1.6l cars are very surprised at how fast the get too 100 and also when they see it going off the clock

Ive already had a brush with the law at 101 and got away with it, think ill just stick to below 97 lol, karmas a bitch but not when its batting for you:nice:

Yeah its a bit more than i have to play with also kinda wanted one as near standard as it gets, proving difficult as theres so much you can do to them, think theres more parts and mods you can do to a Honda than there is lego bricks
