So I'm looking at getting a new crank pulley because mine is horrible and rusty, but the oem replacement costs a ridiculous £300, does anybody know of a good aftermarket alternative?

The only real aftermarket alternative is the ATI fluid damper (there are others but they are costly).

If its rusty why dont you just wire brush it and clean it up? OR alternatively seek another OEM crank pulley in better condition.

Just my 2 cents mate

i have the ati balancer great job,but unless your running a tuned engine id leave the one on it be

There is a small chip in mine though and I'm worried about it. I the chip is probably 2mm by 1mm. I would this be making any difference or am I worrying about nothing?

See it in the background?
See how it isn't perfectly round?

Contact vtec performance on here im sure they will have one at a good price, i use them alot and cant recommend them enough :) even got my b18 from them.

or go this route, not really needed if you are stock internals, and you have no need for AC or PS. lol

That sump looks serious!!

Well I have no AC but I do want to retain the PS

I have all stock internals (B18C4 with EK9 cams)

What is the difference between that damper and the OEM pulley?

And what kinda price are we talking?

Google search: ATI Harmonic Dampers
ATI not needed on a stock internal setup, but I say yes to having it on high reving engines.

I'm gonna get one and do all the belts etc at the same time. Does it need any special kinda setup? I how much did yours cost? And I guess your not running the serpentine pulley?

As some people said above, you don't need an ATI minus if you have a well modified/tuned engine...

You don't need this nice puelly. You will waste a good amount of money (these aren't cheap) that you could need in another "zone" of your car or engine in a near future.

With a stock engine, you should look for a second hand one on Ebay or Junkyard, or maybe some of the breaking advertisers over Ek9.org.,
One cheap, nice condition, OEM crank pulley.

If I were you in your case, I would get a genuine N1 Honda pulley (slightly lightweight), no PS and no AC. And still cheap.
