Hello all,
So I have had the car for about 3 years now and have done a few things with it. It is mostly set up for track use but I am no where near done with it. I would like some help from people who also own a type R. What has worked for you and what i should stay the heck away from. I live in Arizona USA and my car is less than common here. So people talk a lot but have no experience with this car. This is a slow build as cash is low and govenment here is a real pain. I would like to have a nice all around car for show and use. A force to be reckoned with on the drag or the track is what I am shooting for. I am also new to the site and obviously from America. So please be gentle as I may not understand all of the slang.

So you want everything? Because that's what it sounds like, you can have almost all of it, like my car does everything good, its fast as hell, handles great, stops great, looks great... BUT, it's uncomfortable as all hell, it's hard to get a fast/well handling car to be comfortable...

Why did you buy a CTR if you plan to do all that? You should have just bought a USDM EJ6, sounds like your going to bastardize that thing fairly quickly...

I agree with Blinx, a very rare car and quite nice in standard exterior appearence, Surprised youd want to change all that. Like the S2k dash idea though, modernising the dash is a nice touch.

Getting that balance between track/road performance and comfort is always a compromise, yet the standard car is very good in this aspect, especially when your taling suspension and ride-quality WITH great OEM handling.

I am keeping the Type R parts but replacing them with carbon fiber.

lol, you say that as if you thought i didn't know about it, i can tell you all the differenced between the EK9 and the EJ6 i helped wright the thread on it (RMV and I did), anyhow you have your opinions, i have mind, but its your car so follow your heart, I'm just not sure you'll be loving that carbon roof after it starts fading in a few months... But if you have to get it out of your system go for it.

Nice car!
Lose some of the stickers tho, cheapins the look of the car imo
And paint it no other colour than champion white!
