Hi guys,

Does anyone have any information on were abouts to cut the rear plastics for the Password rear strut brace?

I have searched in here, but not found anything :nono:

I know the mugen rear comes with templates to show you were to cut them.

I could probably guess were to make the cuts, but Im sure people on here have already done it and have made a good job. So any advice would be much appreciated!!!

Thanks

Do you want a neat job? How big a hole? I used a 4" hole cutter, made several cuts as I wanted lots of space to get it in, but more for ease of adjusting my suspension.
If nobody can help you by tomorrow afternoon I will take pics & measurements, from what I remember one side is slightly offset.

Here is how mine started, the opening is bigger now.

Cheers for that Haitch, would appreciate some more measurements if you have time.

I want to make a REAL neat job and I'm going to put door trim stuff around the cutout so its finished really well.

If you could tell me how high to start the cut and the dimensions aswell as were to start it lengthways would be cool.

Thanks for the help! :nice:

Never thought of using a stanley knife! I think I might go that route and try and make a neat rectangle like you say.

Cheers for the pics guys!

Could anyone tell me how high up to start the cutout and the rough dimensions of the whole? Like the rectangle you have done Steven?

Here are some basic measurements, hope will help.

Hopefully you can see where I have measured from, its not great. Taken off the rear plastic - end of the straight bit is 450mm - center of strut tower. Then measure off the bottom plastic - base of curved part, front to back is 190mm, then again off that base to top of turret is about 160mm.
