Took a bit of time to put a quick build thread together, but thats what sundays with no plans are for right?

This is my second EK9, I had a b18 champ white 9 a few years ago and regretted selling it ever since.
The time came to sell my BMW when the inevitable house deposit was needed so this was my cheaper alternative

Some of you will recognise it, its been around a little while and passed through two owners since the original builder/owner. It was'nt actually for sale when I bought it, I managed to get talking to the owner and finally talked him into parting with it. It was off the road in storage at the time and was seriously neglected and in need of some loving attention but the hard work was done. Its had an awful lot of money chucked at it by the original owner over the years, Excess of 20k... it had a magazine feature a few year back some of you may have seen

now it was my turn to put my stamp on it and bring it back to its former glory.

I bought it without the Enkie wheels as the owner wanted to keep hold of them however the cheap multispokes I took along would not fit over the front brakes to get her home so he was kind enough to send me off with two of each wheel and sort it out at a later date.

few pictures of not long after I had got it home after a clean etc..

Got a few spares with it clogging up the dining room for now

First little job among many was the intercooler, I prefer it to be hidden rather than it being on full view

New wheels, Spoon Sw388's with new tyres needed a bit clean up but they were all straight
and genuine.

Unfortunatly the front brakes struck again, not many wheels fit over the Willwoods. I measured up 10mm extra and it woud clear so the wheels could stay. Some custom spacers from freaky parts would sort the job.

IMG_1255_zps4db2439d.jpg

I had to extend the wheel studs to allow the fitment also.

Winglets side spats and a quick release front bumper came next to toughen up the front end.

Rear wheels were looking a bit skinny compared to the spaced fronts with semi slicks so a
second set of spacers for the back.

Time for a good clean and paintwork sort out. Ordered quite a few new cleaning products to bring the tired paintwork back to life.

Thats pretty much up to date now missed quite a bit out but hope you get the idea, I've just taken it off the road as the tax has ran out so may aswell keep it off the road now until the winter has been and gone.

Toying with the idea of selling it too as I never ever use it. We have two other cars and I have a works van so it never ever gets out the garage. Just a thought at the minute however .....

:drool::drool::drool: Wow, just wow, what a set up man, garage looks amazing and the car, well that's just to far, absolutely love it. May i ask what you do for work as i need to get me some of that haha.

Amazing purchase man, I remember the build, no expense spared!

Really like it on the spoon wheels too, but not a fan of the bumper holes or canards though sadly :( but to each his own!

Also lolz at using the Jason Markks, that is a good shout. Sick house and garage too :nice:

Thanks mate, yeah just wanted to make it look as racey and lairy as possible so more holes and sticky out things the better for me haha.

I think the wheels are your old ones actually if you've owned a set before If I'm thinking about the right car?, sure I recognise your user name off about 4 year ago when I last had a ek9 ..I bought them from a lad at Newcastle. Think he sold the shell and split the rest of the bits off it if it's the same one I'm thinking of.

Holy **** follow you on instagram, was hoping id see it on here.

Truly stunning 9 lad. Easily one of the best :nice:

Really nice bus. Did you get the ek9 decals from tewiga. As I bought a set and didn't put them on as the ones they sell are only for white silver and yellow ek9s as some of the stickers is black but yours look ok.

Not me sir, Iv never had spoon wheels sadly. I was on here 4 years ago though haha posting the same shite as always.

Youv piqued my interest though, any other details about the car the wheels came from? I might be able to ID it.

Ahh it was a wild guess really, I recognised your username and knew it was someone that had been on here for years and thought with you showing interest in them it may have been you haha.

It was a white 9 with loads of carbon bits on. Might have been a monster unit car if I remember correctly. Irish plates too possibly.

Actually I still have them here, I never fitted them so I'm not sure. I bought them as I had plans to paint the car but then the house came along so it never got done.

Sounds like Gav-Ek9's old car!
