Asked this question on every forum but no reply's...

A friend of mine has the same Recaro's like me. I know there is only 1 model and size but his seats feels narrower at shoulder height. So I concluded my seats where heavily abused or something like that. But when i was cleaning them and looked behind the backpadding I noticed something.

If you pull the backpadding aside you'll see the bolsters are kept on it's place by the hooks indicated with the red arrows. I noticed the unused hooks indicated with white. When I went for a look at my friends tighter Recaro's I saw that his bolsters are attached at the hooks indicated with white. Do this on both sides and the seat becomes narrower... I never saw anything about this subject? Is it possible to adjust your seat?

Gonna give it a try next week. But maybe some other people did it before. Upholstery work is a b*tch.

Interesting topic, might have a look at this myself. Keep this updated with how it goes

Well I've tried it but I'm wrong. The fabric has small holes where it hooks on under the clips and doesn't have any holes where the unused are. And even with the fabric a little crooked and closer together it doesn't feel different so there is 100% difference in either EDM/JDM or EK9/DC2 Recaro's. They probably make 1 base and add different bolsters.

Pretty sure your black recaros are dc2 recaros.

I think there is a little difference between ek9 and dc2 recaros.
One is more snug fit, can't remember which.
One friend mentioned.
Il ask him and see what he says!

These are DC2 seats. But I don't know if they are JDM or EDM. The snugger Rec's from my mate are red with OEM EK9 brackets so they probably are EK9 Rec's but we can't confirm it...
