Hey Guys, i know this isnt honda related, but its a problem thats starting to bug me, and my mum :L
mum has got a mk1 ford mondeo 1.8td
it seems like it isnt boosting properly
we have changed the intercooler, as the original one had a whopping great big hole in it, and disconnected the EGR valve
it hasnt improved, when u start from a standstill, u have to put your foot flat to the floor, to build the revs up, then when u release the clutch it dies!
throttle response is shocking, first half of putting your foot down(if that makes sence) is completly dead, then its sluggish to make the revs rise?
it has absolutly no power, and as soon as you let your foot off the accelorator it dies again!
you can feel the turbo kick in for brief periods, but it only happens occasionaly
i think it might be somthing to do with the throttle postion sensor, and im gona to change the fuel filter tmoz but wondered if u guys would know of anything else?
