hey there i got a 1997 civic with a b18c4 conversion

i went to my car this morning and my driver side door wont unlock and i dunno what to do !!

all my other doors unlock off the key but this one dont !!

Yep. I found pouring hot water down the window seals and squirting de-icer into the door locks sorted it out in my old EK

Need to watch not touch the glass with the hot water water incase it cracks. But yeah thats prob the cause. You actually get de icer just for locks but sure any will work.

Sorry when i said hot i dint mean like boiling hot, just warm enough to melt the ice and stop it from freezing quickly again.

i have tried that. ou can out key in door and turn key but there seems to be pressure there stopping it from turnin the hole way :S it getting annoing go through the drivers door now lol !

Wd-40 ftw ;)

My drivers door has same problem, can get key in but resistance to turn it, even if it turned it wouldnt unlock. Kept getting in through passengers door, tehn by time i drive 2 miles to work it would open. Seriously put some WD-40 on the lock catch which is half way down the door, and spray some in the lock itself and run the key through it a few times. That should prevent it from freezing up in teh future for a while. Not sure if it will actually un-freeze it if its already frozen, i put a lighter on my key for about 30seconds to deal with that part, also pour WARM but not too warm water around the door and window seals and the key lock, but need to act fast other wise it will freeze again before you know it ;)
