>> DV8's EK9 <<

Well went tuning at the weekend and I ended up with a few annoying problems that meant it couldnt be finished and i had to come home to fix them. :(

Not really a fault of the kit, was suffering from some boost leaks we couldn't trace until we got back and also the classic turbo nut loosening syndrome.

Lesson learned - tighten all the clamps up properly... LOL

Also we used a compressor to test the system after to find leaks. If your fitting a turbo and have access to a compressor get yourself a kit and test it:

Also upgrade the hardware on your kit if you can... the studs and nuts with my kit werent great. Now fitted slightly longer studs, better locking nuts and some of these cool Heico-Lock Anti-Vibration Locking Washers:

Here's what was left of my gasket, so i'm also fitting some better ones:

Finally while is all off i'm getting the screamer/dump tube welded into the down pipe. It makes a nice noise but I keep getting gassed out in the car and it just ends up giving me a headache so its gotta go... LOL

Mate of mine welded up my dump tube for me. Did an amazing job. Really chuffed with it.

No more getting gassed out now. :)

I'll be doing this aswell, good idea with the flexi joint! I was going to have a solid pipe welded into the exhaust but now realise it may cause the pipe to crack

Reading this again, will be me soon!

The flex is mainly there for installation purposes. The tolerances on the Wastegate fitting are so tight you need a bit of maneuvering room. Go-autoworks can do this for you if you haven't already ordered.

Wrapped it while it was off to help manage the heat.

Love it! Want my kit to turn up now!

Decided to re-route the intake to a more aesthetically pleasing location. Will do a full on shoot after the dyno session (second attempt) next weekend.

Dyno went awesome on Saturday.

Ended up making 380 bhp & 260 ft lbs.

To fit in with my insurance agreement and track car goals i'm now running a lot less on the road but its nice to know it's there for the future.

Could of made a fair bit more but i didn't want to put too much more stress on the engine unnecessarily.

Videos and Pics once it's had a good clean and sort out.

Here's the dyno print out:

Thanks to Daz @ DNR/Endless & all my mates who helped with the build. :thanks:

Sweet! 380 is alittle much for fwd track car though?
How much power you going for on the track?

Like i said on your other thread, Impressive figures there dude

Can't wait for pics and vids
