Dyno results! Really chuffed


Word of caution about dyno numbers if you go see Ro. The Mrs EK4 make 192bhp on a dastek dyno before I bought it, after a remap on the dynodynamics rollers Romain uses he managed to get it up to 178bhp! So in my experience dasteks over read by about 10%.
 
As said on facebook, well done mate id be over the moon with that. I could have told you the outcome of this thread before you even posted it. This forum is so predictable!
 
people are always going to argue over dyno figures because we all have different numbers in our head for what we think cars should be making with the mods that are done. there are too many variables involved in the runs and between the different types of rollers to prevent this.

Exactly, you were "impressed" by what a computer is telling you about what you're "suppose" to feel. (*Note* - we're talking about minor NA figures here)

Just ignore me then. You need to start living in reality though. Not everyone is going to pat you on your back and tell you what you want to hear. If you don't like it, then just ignore it instead of feeling the need to defend your ego.

Again if this is the case your contradicting yourself by "trying" to build a 400whp engine. Surely you should just build an engine and be happy with what ever it makes ?

I quoted two points on this. "400WHP" is nothing more than a guideline. I don't care if it makes 392WHP or 402WHP. It's nothing more than a ROUGH figure. When you start talking about 50+WHP figures you KNOW you're definitely feeling the difference regardless of what c0ck measuring machine you're using (DYNO). But yeah - I will just enjoy it for what it is...


I' take everyone's opinion on board the same as anyone else does if you comment/criticise on there thread.

The thing is I'm not criticizing you or your car. I just asked a question regarding dyno's. You have escalated this not ME . It's funny as one day you'll most likely realise what I'm getting at...

Ben said he is happy, Who gives a **** if it didn't make the right Bhp for the Whp or if the setup made more power than it should and is therefore wrong or it should have made more power.... Bla bla ****ing bla.

He's happy so who gives a ****, Its his car isn't it ? Last time i checked i'm pretty sure Ben didn't tune his car for other people ....

Nah, it was consciously done mate (there's no point trying any of those MI5 reverse phycology tricks on me :) ). There's only one me in this thread lol. You can tell me straight though, honestly.... I find it hard to take myself serious now a days let alone other people lol (my avatar should "sub consciously" tell you this ;) )

I think the problem lies in "misinterpretation" in what I type. I tend to type as I think now without much consideration other than to get my point across lol. By all means though - if I'm wrong and you can correct me and I'll be more than happy as I've learn something new. Just don't get my ignorant arse talking about immigration or North Korea hahahahahah. Nah, I'm a open minded person. We'd get on well, trust me.
