Great build mate! Just out of curiosity,how much did the whole swap cost you (engine,gearbox,loom,shafts,mounts,mapping etc...).

The original set up cost about €5500 for everything including mapping, but I got my engine an box for a very good price,

so work finally started on the car last night! :bananna:

gearbox out fit the new 5.1 f/d an the toda flywheel,

Flywheel fitted

splitting the gearbox

unfortunately one of the gears was being a **** an wouldn come off the shaft! an it was gettin late so we called it a night!

**** of a gear!! :lol!:

Heat the gears up a little with a gas torch, works every time for me

tried heating them, an tried pulling the top two together and seperatly, no joy!

Strange, they normally come off easy enough with abit of heat

So the gear came off in the end an the box is bak in the car an the is all back together an back on the ground, now I'm jus waiting on my intake mani to *** bak from being ported an a welder to to *** an fit the exhaust!

So I finally found myself a set of wheels!! Hadta go all the way to Cavan for these, long trip only bak now but well worth it,

Wheels are brand new an still in boxes, when I got them only one had been open, other 3 had never been opened!!

Every wheel came with its own hair net! :lol!:

And the each came with the proper enkei valve and socket!

Will hav them on the car in the next few weeks! 16" tyres are crazy prices!!

Small update!

The reason the car is not back yet, the new rad I bought would not fit in the car no matter where we tried to put it, so a slight Modifaction had to be made!

An now it fits!!

Tires also arrived for the new wheels!

An had them fitted by a lad I know so the wheels wouldn be marked! :hi:

Hopefully il hav the car back on the road in the nxt week an I can book her in for the map, the new exhaust is fitted aswell just forgot to get a picture! :fplam:

Hav no photos but its not too good, but I was using a sump guard since the star and never had any issues with a bust sump or anything like that, new exhaust is sitting lower than the old one so I'm going to raise the car an new wheels will hav it sitting a little higher too,
