Haha, my brother had the same in his rally car this weekend - mud everywhere. Sadly he got harpooned by an EVO 10 who didn't know how to drive. I hope you had a good day, any class wins?

no, hadn't driven the car at all apart from on the road, so steady first stage(weeton in the dark), fastest 1600:))on second stage, got to overnight halt 19 secs off class lead and in third
next morning got too within 2 secs of 2nd, but then water got into the ecu and it stopped three times, then the bonnet flew up after the marshals didn't put the pins in correctly:((

otl by the time we made it out of the stage

will try to put some video up when camera arrives

is the damage bad to your brothers car ?

Dave, where is your ecu situated, is it in the engine bay? Sounds like you had good pace for a first time out.

Have you got a link to that? Basically the EVO stupidly thought my brother was pulling over around a corner when in actuality he was just following the racing line, as anyone with experience rallying would know, and decided to try to over take on the inside without beeping his horn, flashing his lights or seeing an indicator. My brother had no idea the Evo was there his car was plastered in mud.

Edit: Found it. Shame on the restricted-from-500bhp EVO X, it was getting the same times as a 1.6 Honda with engine problems before the collision. Money can't buy you driving talent I'm afraid.

Great driving :) My brother's never done any night stages, looked like a good laugh, the light pod seemed to do the job! You should be very happy with your results, especially for your first event in the car. Congratulations! :nice:

Cant beat getting time in the driving seat, the more stage mileage you get the better!

We have always put our ecu's inside the car, never liked the idea of putting it in the engine bay even tho mgrover have been doing it for years.

Excelent thread, with good fotos. Enjoyed reading it..
I've have to ask you what gear box case did u use? Is it the s4c with quaife gearkit?

-Michael, Denmark.

it's a hewland dog box + plate diff(no longer made), uses standard casing, but not sure which one !

cheers
