Ek rally car build

Hi been wanting to build an ek rally car for some years now I've had my b16 engine and box a while was using them in my nova rally car which has become a little run down now so I've had my hand in my wallet and ordered an ek shell to be built to my spec by stoner racing Basingstoke he builds civic cup cars but can also build to customer spec I approached him last week and paid my deposit and work has begun so here's a couple of pics of things getting started

Just stripped and the beginnings of a roll cage so far as more happens I'll update next will be finish cage seem weld and strengthen

* integra type r head ported polished skimmed tri-angle valve seats
* omnipower high compression flat face valves

* skunk2 pro series stage 2 cams and adjustable pullies
* 45mm itb's
* inlet manifold ported to suit head exhaust manifold ported to suit head and heat wrapped
* ek9 type r high compression pistons
* arp bolts used throughout
* light weight rods
* knife edge crank shaft
* light weight billet steel flywheel
* RC 310cc injectors
* Baffled sump
* Air con and pas pumps removed
* P30 hondata s300
* Ek9 s4c gearbox standard lsd and mfactory 4.92 final drive(on order from tegiwa)

Im just curious why you done all that work and didnt change the pistons to forged?

No real need I didn't think as the ek9 ones were new from honda

cage is looking good, very nice how it's welded at the suspension in the rear

Decided on colours going for mercedes arctic white with tegiwa civic cup decals

Shame I couldn't get a non sunroof shell that wasn't rotten but oh we'll I prob just replace the roof skin eventually but its just getting plated for now

Literally just had an email of some more pics of the completes cage sorry to keep posting pics of the cage but this sort of stuff is like porn to me lol! Sad I know!

Fresh update project was delayed heavily by the horrendous weather a few weeks ago but gusseting on the cage now completed shell fully seam welded its being painted this morning and I will take delivery of the shell Thursday next week the 25th April then the fun part starts bolting it all together
