ek4 airbox vs ek9 airbox

In my country a lot of people thinks that the oem ek4 airbox is very restrictive.But i read somewhere that airbox of ek4 and ek9 are the same? Is that true?What about diameters?the same?

i think they r the same... however i've had problems fitting an ek9 Mugen intake on my ek4. Fitment being VRY tight...
