EK4 Vti Track car.

Nothing personal but changing them was the best thing I've done.

It's been a while since I updated this but I have been busy.

I can't afford these but I've bought these from Iceman.

I have brazed baffles into a sump I bought a while back and am waiting on some heat reflective material to stick on before i fit it.
After having a long think about a rear subframe brace I have cut out some stainless steel plates that will bolt on and then the arb brakets bolt on top.
I also binned the factory sterring wheel for a sparco. 3.5 kg weight saving
Pics of all of this to follow......eventually
One thing I have done that I have pics of is to cut open and port the spare inlet manifold that I have.

Since these were taken I've tidied up the porting a bit as I'd run out of flap wheels when I took that second pic.
I have a list of stuff to do over the winter including some aero work aimed a reducing drag.

Loving the build thread mate, nice to see all the hardwork going into this!

there should'nt be any more missing photo's from here on!

Here are some pics of stuff I have got done since the last update. I got lots done over christmas.

Heres the sump I baffled. I added some heat reflective material like the Spoon sumps and garnished with an Mfactory magnetic plug.

Over christmas I made this flat underside for the front bumper and the rear panel. I won't call it a diffuser. My mate gave me the sheet, it's used for conservatory roofs and is very light and strong

The rear panel is not 100% yet needs abit of trimming and I have to work out some mountings.

I also picked up a 282 front brake setup. The calipers were a bit of a mess so I painted them.

I have been hampered by problems with my tig welder but those should be sorted by the time I tax the car and get it out again next month.

you really put your hands on this car dude....great job on your exh header/piping...

Superb work there bud, wish I had your fabrication skills!

I'm off to look up welding courses at the local college... :D

^^ x2, i want to get into welding, sounds and looks very useful.
Great build mate, header looks really good!

Cant believe i have only just seen this.

You have some great fabrication skills, Cant wait for some more updates

It reflects heat. Spoon use it on their sumps.

There seems to be a lot of frustrated fabricators lurking in this thread. Go and take an evening class and learn to Tig. The technique of Tig Welding is very simple it just takes practice. A lot of practice.
